Yea, I've seen it happen also. As far as I can remember though it is usually when my batteries are low. From testing my own 83+ vs my 83+SE grayscale always looks better on the 83+ over the SE.

He's definitley the best sprite artist here . Only thing glitchy I could find was how the slopes are handled, sometimes the character gets stuck on a slope after I jump. Looks really goods far. Hope you feel better.

@ Omnimaga, Hell yea we do! Just as DJOmnimaga said, the source should still be on maxcoderz somewhere and the video shows pretty much what state the project was left in.

Durk contributed alot to the TI community, however he left the community sometime ago and this was one of the many things he left unfinished. As far as I know he never released a public demo.

TI-BASIC / Re: Ti Basic on Computer
« on: October 05, 2008, 12:39:57 am »
Yup, graphlink is a good resource and can be found on Texas Instrument's website on the same page as the ti connect software. I think there is a program called source coder on Kerm martin's website (cemetech) on which you can edit BASIC programs as well, although I have never tried it. Personally I prefer to code on calc in BASIC and most people that code BASIC do. I have gotten to where i can code and type on my calc (as have many others) nearly as fast as I can on computer. :)

Still love this, durk would be happy :P
talking about durk, I still have the video on my PC somewhere I think. It was quite awesome
For refrence, this is a gif of the old Mario game durk was working on at maxcoderz. As far as what the respective engines are capable of there are alot of similarities. I'd upload the video, but its xbox huge! (well 4mb huge anyways) :o

Ah what the heck. The video is linked below and is in AVI format. It is higher res. and shows of durk's engine a bit more.

@Tifreak I tend to hone in on small details sometimes so I guess thats why I brought the line thing up :). And yea I understand using the line commands take up less memory and i figured that was why you did it that way. Speed really shouldnt be a problem on the se anyhow :). Also, second pic defenitly scrolls through selections faster.

@Tifreak, just wanted to share my oppinon that's all. I thought AOD 86 did use line to clear things also O_o my bad. On the old 83 I always used text to quickly clear out larger areas at a time if i didn't want to do a clear draw or wanted to preserve some of the screen. Although, I haven't tested it v.s line on the SE. How about giving us a recap on pokemon, of what is completed so far? Methinks you should write yourself out a diagram of what is done and what all needs to be done and then make a plan on what to tackle and in which order. That way you can organize related subprograms and work on them together. ;)

General Calculator Help / Re: FF TALES OF MAGIC HELP

So, did you ever get this to work or no? I know I have had this on my calc in the past and I didn't have any problems with it.

Just wondering, but why do you use the line funtion to clear the screen? Wouldn't using large or small "blank" text boxes be quicker? I have the same complaint with AOD 86. Also, ti connect didn't like the last beta i tried to send to my 83+SE, though I was able to send it to my regular  83+ BE

*Edit* New pokedex screens look really nice btw.

Other Calculators / Re: Is TI-Connect really THAT Bad?
« on: September 29, 2008, 11:51:41 pm »
@Tifreak, I have the gray parallel graphlink and the black serial one. However, It seems neither of them works anymore =( (the black one I got from a friend recently).

As for TILP, I haven't had any luck getting it to work either. I have tired TILP several times, and it installs and I can open it, but it won't let me send files to the calc.

Ti connect always has problems. From not recognizing calcs to randomly crashing and Also not allowing you to send files that it deems as "bad" (Even though there is nothing wrong with them). I can't even send most of the old programs written for the ti86 to my calc with ti connect because it flags them as bad... go figure. I really love the old graphlink software. Only problem it had was not identifing a calc when it was plugged in, and this could be fixed after a reboot or just disconnecting and reconneting the cable a couple of times. I still don't know why the ditched the graphlink software for ti connect...

Really not much to do about supporting IE 6, it's pretty outdated. :(. Tell your school to "Get with the program!"
