Some details obviously had to be kept quiet until they were ready to be released. Also, why would TI-Planet be throwing a party?

News / Re: TI buys Omnimaga« on: April 01, 2014, 04:36:17 am »So does Omni members now get TI calcs for half the price? You can do whatever you want, but all HP and Casio sections are in the process of being removed(as this is a TI site). Also, apparently TI is refocusing it's efforts: Quote from: Peter Balyta The TI-89 and now the TI-Nspire CAS platform is really taking off as a programming platform, and we try to encourage that wherever we see it. 754
News / Re: An Informal Chat with Peter Balyta - Cemetech« on: March 31, 2014, 05:15:51 pm »Quote The TI-89 and now the TI-Nspire CAS platform is really taking off as a programming platform, I do find that quote particularly funny as the TI-89 is pretty much a dead platform. This is true from the community standpoint and TI's standpoint. Perhaps he meant to say the TI-83+ series? Though, that wouldn't be accurate either as the TI-83+ Series has been the most active for quite some time. 755
TI-Nspire / Re: LuaZM-like interpreter for nspire?« on: March 31, 2014, 04:55:55 pm »
Since we already do have a functioning Lua supported by TI, I'm not sure this will happen. I'd also guess that files for one version of Lua wouldn't work with the other, and that could get a little confusing. Just observations.

General Calculator Help / Re: Hide finance app?« on: March 30, 2014, 09:16:18 pm »You could look at omnicalcs source and make your own asm program ^ Honestly, a custom program to hide finance would probably be the best solution. It's possible someone has already written one, or something similar. Maybe check Ticalc? Or make a suggestion in the program ideas thread. Maybe someone will write one for you. 758

I guess that makes sense. I wonder if it'll ever see an English language release? It looks like a pretty interesting design.

ASM / Re: TI-85 Programming: Getting Started« on: March 29, 2014, 09:02:25 am »
The BASIC and asm on both machines is similar yes, but not exactly the same.
@Utz: Ah, I see. You might be able to poke Brandon Wilson or Patrick Davidson. Both have been around for forever. Patrick has coded for the TI-85. Brandon W probably has too, but I don't know of the top of my head. 760

Usgard and Zshell were the popular shells for the TI-85 If memory serves correctly. Ticalc.org probably has a decent amount of documentation, so I'd start your search there. And yes, the TI-85 will be most similar to the TI-86. The TI-86 was based on the TI-85.

Introduce Yourself! / Re: well, shit...« on: March 28, 2014, 08:45:07 am »
It's easily the worst of the three. It's basically Super Mario 64 with the Fludd accessory as the game's gimmick.

If it gets to be too much of a pain for people, no one will contribute. We don't want to over complicate the process. Also, punctuation would make your post a lot clearer.

Well, Ben is still around (as far as I know), so I wouldn't be surprised if he did reply.
