Axe / Re: [Controversial] Better Axe Documentation Could Be Needed

My personal opinion: If it's that long, no one will read it. Ever. I think that's a bit much. Honestly, if the wiki were maintained again I think that would be the best solution. It would also allow multiple people to add content, so the burden isn't on just one person.

Another good idea would be to bring the tutorial section back here, or at least have a stickied topic that lists (and links to) all tuorials.

Nice, Sunsoft really had some great stuff back then. Funfact: Journey to Sillius was originally meant to be a game based on The Terminator Movie. However, Sunsoft's license ran out during the making of the game. Some graphics and story (and obviously the title) were changed as a result.

Just picked up the original  Japanese Pokemon Red, Green, Blue, and Yellow for $36.50. :)

*Edit* Worth mentioning: I also saw a Sega Genesis clone at Wal-mart for $30. It has 60 games built in and 2 hard-wired controllers. However, it also has a cartridge slot. Thinking about getting one. :D

Will is correct. There really isn't any reason the command list should include how to make a tilemap work. That's more of a general programming thing, and I know I've seen a tilemapping tutorial or two floating around here. It seems like you are more interested in general tutorials, and specifically ones that cater to AXE. Would it be nice? Yea, but then again, people need to find the time and drive to do them. We actually used to have a tutorial section... I wonder where that went. ???

Looks nice! But this looks very hard O.O (it reminds me Guitar Hero in hard mode)
My thoughts exactly. It basically comes off as a guitar hero clone. Not that that's a bad thing mind you. ;)

Looks like you die if you make any mistakes though. Perhaps some sort of distance meter could be added as sort of a life bar (this could allow for longer levels too). Basically it starts out full, and if you make a mistake, it depletes. When it's fully depleted, the shark "catches" you. It could recover slowly over time until the end of level. Just an idea. Alternatively, you could use that Idea for an "endless" mode and have the "footsteps" come more frequently and/or faster the longer you go on.

I was actually thinking about the graph screen, and totally didn't realize the would be different.  :-[  Sorry about that!  XD  Thanks for all the work you're putting in. As I said, you really didn't even have to do this. I just thought it might be useful. You're awesome Xeda! Anyhow, as we were talking about on IRC, maybe there is a quick(ish) fix.

Well, the community has gotten past them every single time so far. :P Actually, it wouldn't surprise me if their new OS version wasn't too far off...

All the other "solutions" are just bandaids that temporarily fix the problem. If I've learned anything as a professional web developer, temporary solutions are never the best option. It's better to spend the money now to solve something, even if it causes a few temporary issues that can easily be resolved then to put in a bandaid that will cost more to fix in the long run.

Perfectly said. That pretty much sums up why this route was taken. :)

^Pretty much agree. I could see adding the Mirage stuff, and have actually been pondering something similar myself. The others though, I don't see much sense to adding.
