Well, I know it's not a full program structure, but shkaboinka has examples of all of the features on the wiki overview.

I know I'm coming in late to this (I didn't get the emails for some reason), but NanoWar, this isn't completely done. He wanted to get his ideas out there and see if they were something that people would use. If not, then he would have to change certain aspects of the language. I know how hard it is to structure a language in a way that is practical while still being fun (see Alpha.NET in my signature). That being said, it's not as simple as "just [writing] a pong game" for an incomplete language project I do agree with you, however, that Omnimaga is more game-oriented while Cemetech is more hardware-/technology-oriented (though I do not frequent there as often as here).

That, my good sir, is perfect. I'll use that for now, and as you get time, do you think you could do the other views (left, right, and back)?

Whoops, sorry, I didn't get the email for this. The soldier's looking really good though! Just a couple more things and I think it'd be golden! Umm... You might be a little mad at me, but could the shield be more simple? Lol. And I didn't quite know how to explain it at first, but this is the kind of design I was thinking of: (but smaller). If you could do that shape and make it simpler, that'd be awesome!
Also, um, could you possibly add a blue cape? 246

Yeah, graphics are almost always the problem for me. I guess it's mostly because I want to try to do everything by myself, but I'm too stubborn to realize that I can't. I could probably do textures (dirt, water, etc.) But when it comes to sprites, I'm near helpless.
But yes, I planned to try to make this an RPG with all the bells and whistles. I always find that they're more fun and have more of a replay value than other kinds of games. 247

Take your time lol. But yeah, I think they have those shields in the beginning.

Hmm... I like the helmet of the first one more. I was actually thinking about it recently, and do you think you could make it so that he is holding a shield in front of him in his right hand? (So when you look at the front view it's on the left side.) One like the Romans used (example; but it doesn't have to be decorated like that) except where the two bottom edges come to a point in the middle. That should help with the armor problem lol. Also, remember you can go up to 32x32 if necessary

Somehow I knew you'd want this But no, no deadline. This is just something I wanted to try, so you could say it's just a side project. The sooner the better, though
Also, very nice sprites! 250

I figured I'd try my hand at making some kind of 2D game for the computer, but my only problem is I have absolutely no skill in graphics whatsoever! My request is that somebody make me a medieval soldier that is either 16x16, 24x24, or 32x32. It can be in full color, and I would actually prefer it be that way. I would also prefer the sprite to be 24x24, but the size can be any of the three aforementioned. Also, please only make the soldier. No weapons, shields, what have you. You can, if you want, have him have a cape or cloak. I would also need a front, left, right, and back view of the solder.
Thanks in advance 251

Ahh, okay. Yeah, I was thinking that the option for creating a ROM from open-source software would be neat on the phone.

Yes, yes, a thousand times yes! I was actually thinking about this the other day and thought that it would be really cool and useful. My only question, though, is how will one acquire ROMs?

Humour and Jokes / Re: Most interesting experience you have had« on: January 14, 2012, 01:51:33 am »
Ooo, I found this after some minor board creeping.
My most interesting experience was when I was about six. I was at my cousins' house and one of them was going to show me how far he could hit a golf ball. He got everything set up and I started to walk up to him right as he swung the club back (I'm not sure why). I guess the club somehow pinched some skin on my chin pretty bad because I remember cupping my hands under my chin and constantly throwing handfuls of blood onto the ground. Then we went to the hospital and the doctor injected my chin with novocaine. After that I just remember asking him "When are you going to start?" and he told me he was done, and I went home. 254

Add #include <windows.h> to the top of your file.
