My one friend actually has an acclaim. I'll have to ask him about it. But that's why I didn't get a Samsung, I know people have had problems with them. HTC, though, I've heard was generally really good and I haven't had any problems in the 4 days I've had mine lol

T-Mobile was actually my first though, but their service map didn't look too promising where I live. We've had Sprint before, and we had terrible service with them. We didn't want to go with a prepaid because we had Tracfone and it got annoying with the minutes. So that left AT&T and Verizon. My best friend has had both (he's currently with AT&T) and he said Verizon was best, so that's what we went with.

Um... Isn't public, unsecured WiFi a bad thing to use?

And thanks again for the congrats lol Darn... Oh well, I'll just have to make sure it works before I waste my time and try to debug lol. @DJ, I plan to only have a cell phone when I go to college/get my own house. I see no need for a cell and home phone. Plus, nowadays you can use you phone as a WiFi hotspot. 531

Verizon offered us 22% off of our bill a month (because of the hospital thing) which was awesome. My data plan is 2GB which is a necessary for smartphones on Verizon, but it's way more than enough, seeing as I'm only going to use it on the bus because I have WiFi at home. From going downtown and checking my email there, I've only used 0.0146GB so far lol. AT&T is $25 a month extra for a 4G smartphone with 2GB of data, which isn't bad at all. If we went with AT&T, I would'be gotten some other HTC phone because they're pretty solid builds.

A WP7 was my first choice because I have a Zune, which I love, but after looking at the apps, I decided to get an Android.

No budget lol. I had Tracfone, but as of two days ago I have Verizon. The HTC Droid Incredible 2 (which I'm using to type this) was USD$200 but my mom works at a hospital so I got 25% off.
EDIT: Er, no budget anymore lol. Now I just need to get the Android SDK to realize I have the JDK installed... Grr... 535

Could you point me in the right direction? I haven't had much luck by myself.

Well, if I did anything 3D by myself, it'd be in C# for now, and therefore .NET based. I guess I could use XNA, but that would just help me learn 3D in XNA, not how a renderer works (or would it?).
So I guess I'm asking if there's any good documentation on 3D rendering in general or, if it'd be easier, for XNA. 537

I was going to get the Xperia Play, but the DI2 is just... Incredible.

Well, I'm the kind of person who likes to make things from scratch so I was thinking maybe information about how it all works, but if using a library to start with is better, then I could go with that. If that's the case though, then which one would be the best?

I know this hasn't been replied to in a while, but it's better, IMO, to post it here.
After many changes in our cell phone choosing by my parents, we went with Verizon and I got the HTC Droid Incredible 2! The only thing is, I'm having problems installing the Android SDK 540

I know this particular thread is for Casio 3D, but does anyone have a good resource for 3D rendering on the computer, preferably in C#? My main problems with understanding 3D are how its data is stored (something like a really huge matrix seems impractical to me, unless only portions are accessed at any given time) and the rendering itself.
If I should start a separate topic, I'm sorry for interrupting this one. Just let me know and I will. |
