Other / Re: Linux Mint 11 "Katya" Released!
« on: May 26, 2011, 02:15:56 pm »
Today, Linux Mint has announced the release of the version 11 of Mint, code name being "Katya", following "Julia", Linux Mint 10.

I tried installing it with no luck, so I'll way until uNetBootin's next update including this version of Mint.

Have you tried it, will you try it?
I'm staying in 9 on this hardware unless 11 is worth the weight.

Colored names aren't worth the weight.

Man, this topic is getting a lot of attention. The site's title doesn't make much sense.

Good luck with your site. I do not think it is a good idea, but if you want to do it you have every right to succeed wonderfully at it
You may want to make it different than Omnimaga, like focus on a certain type of program or project.

General Discussion / Re: Music We Listen To

I exceptionally like SID music.

Indeed. However, someone on Cemetech has had a similar idea, and, as Ben Ryves has pointed out, there are issues (see http://cemetech.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6323) However, with some adjustments, and breaking compatibility for all existing programs, this could work quite well. :) (no sarcasm intended)
I was thinking of completely redoing a lot of it.

Looks super-handy for plotting multiple sprites to compose a larger image.

So what exactly is this?
Anyway to make it work with linux my only OS that works currently.
It's source for a really primitive OS. I was thinking of an z80-8x-family port.

There's Z80, 8080, x86, and 68k, too. The link is the full source for 80 I think. Linux rejects "make", because it has no 'cc' command.  :-\

Go for GNOME, definetely, but 2.x.
I like gnome when enough power is availible, but I tend to go for FluxBox.

lxde still has some issues, I think Gnome would be the best bet and an in between for all other choices so people can switch it up if they want afterwords.
LXDE's interface is buggy sometimes.

It looks liek TI is sending out emails to whoever they see hasn't upgraded yet

Sorry Eeems, but I really want to help, and the 'spam' (which I hid in a spoiler) was just to show how incredibly good Torvalds is at flaming.
The stuff outside was a little spammy too, which is the stuff I was mainly talking about.

Hmm, seems we have competition for making a distro :P I'm also working on a re-vamping of OmnimagaOS based off of Arch ( Juju is still probably working on his own as well )
Anyone know how to build a distro? I need a good skeleton.

* BrownyTCat has to pull this off under Mint Isadora
