The idea is that you multiply your position variables by 256 to give you a screen that is 256 times as big (and consequently has a *lot* more possible positions and a lot more precision) and then when you display your sprites you "zoom" back out by dividing by 256.Maybe I can fix my engine's "/\" jump. Not before I get a freaking tilemap routine. * BrownyTCat has lost several brain cells trying to tilemap.

TI Z80 / Re: Extreme Tic-Tac-Toe: Contest Entry« on: May 18, 2011, 12:51:53 pm »You have to solve the problem in Tic-Tac-Toe explained in War Games somehow.Something like tic-tac-toe, but with sub-fields (a 3*3 grid for every square in the main board, maybe another layer beneath for a really long game) that you have to win to "gain" the larger square (put you mark on it, either an X or an O). Maybe some fighting/arcade (or perhaps a random medley of simple arcade games) aspect or something fought against an AI or another player to gain the squares in the sub-fields can be added, or it could just be pure strategy. Game is won if user gets three of their X/O in a row in the master grid.↑↑ that. 253
