BrownTCat, That's awesome :D But, it's kinda too big to put it in actual calc screen?  ;)
So, anyway, are you gonna keep the grid-based battle system?
Wasn't expecting it to be used in battle, I'll see if I can make a smaller size constraint.

Hopefully the logger can overcome the memory limitations.

I remember telling everyone I would do something like this. Now I did!

You can pretty much figure the main concept from the screenshot.

This is all I have now, but I will be adding many more elements in the future.
That looks great. Too bad I can't tilemap or make grayscale. It's like this new 3DS game slated for this year but... It's... Not.

I have a few Swedish friends, though they're only of full Swedish heritage, they're technically Americans.

Do you mean Morgan Freeman?

He seems more like Feynman to me
No. Gordon Freeman.

Is it a scrolling tilemap?
Yes. I saw the tutorial, but it's hard to implement in a platformer game.

Its not a mode, but more like a style of programming that gives you more precision.  The idea is that you multiply your position variables by 256 to give you a screen that is 256 times as big (and consequently has a *lot* more possible positions and a lot more precision) and then when you display your sprites you "zoom" back out by dividing by 256.

This has been written about a lot, I'm sure there has got to be a tutorial about this somewhere, or at least a more in depth explanation.
Maybe I can fix my engine's "/\" jump. Not before I get a freaking tilemap routine.
* BrownyTCat has lost several brain cells trying to tilemap.

I hope they didn't replace it with a beep... That would sound horrible O.O

I've never ever heard that in music, and I don't want to either.

Oh my gosh, a lot of people try that, but this was done correctly. Wait while I stop suffocating from laughter.

TI Z80 / Re: Extreme Tic-Tac-Toe: Contest Entry
« on: May 18, 2011, 12:51:53 pm »
Something like tic-tac-toe, but with sub-fields (a 3*3 grid for every square in the main board, maybe another layer beneath for a really long game) that you have to win to "gain" the larger square (put you mark on it, either an X or an O).  Maybe some fighting/arcade (or perhaps a random medley of simple arcade games) aspect or something fought against an AI or another player to gain the squares in the sub-fields can be added, or it could just be pure strategy.  Game is won if user gets three of their X/O in a row in the master grid.
↑↑ that.
I'm going to make it two-player in the entry, rather than stress myself over the AI.  I would try to do link play, tho I can't really test it with a casio cable atm :P
Expect to see a few random mini-games screenies in the near future. ;)

Also, more creative title pending...
You have to solve the problem in Tic-Tac-Toe explained in War Games somehow.

คาสิโนออนไลน์ (bot link removed)

What he said means "Online casino" in Thai.
I hate bots. Nobody on an English/French-speaking site wants to go to a casino in a different language to be scammed. I wish this didn't get interrupted.
