Judging by the array of software available, it looks promising

Computer Programming / So I just got a C64.

The OS technically is BASIC. I have no floppy/datasette devices yet so I cannot save, but I can save on my other computers and retype the valuable code. This BASIC isn't very basic crap, I said a pun on a serious forum, but it apparently lets you use the 3 SID voices, sprites, and.... Anything the 38911 BASIC bytes can hold, really. Anybody have and sauce source code or ideas.... Or anything relevant to old CPUs? I'm probably getting a 51/4 inch diskette reader sometime.

You already lost me when you got into bytes.
Hopefully my C64 will help me.

TI Z80 / Re: Doors CS 7 Mimas library/include file

Using the Mimas editor. Mimas is an on-calc z80 assembly IDE.
That explains quite a lot, judging by the fact I never heard of it in my 2-year dormancy period.

So... You're typing an INC file as an 8XV. Please explain how this is going to work...

Everything like this ends up being a bit difficult to me in theory a little because of the disorginazation issues caused by OS, hardware, and model differences. I'm only going to blame TI though, since they hate us obviously.

In the last version he put in a protection so a) the key had to be released and b) the little armless guy had to be on the ground/ceiling.

That was really smart of him.

I'm currently just working on gravity, I have this in my initialization:
Code: [Select]
V=50
And this is in the main loop:
Code: [Select]
If
pxl-Test(X,Y+8)=0
V-1->V
If V>1
Pause V
End
Y+1->Y
Else
50->V
End
Basically, this is a gravity handler, and it's fine for the most part, I just need the "jumping" thing. Maybe use a variable in place of 1, ie:
Code: [Select]
Y+G->YPossibly keep the pause and add more dramatic gravity, like in each falling loop until you hit ground, you get +1 to G until you reach Terminal Veocity.
???

Due to memory limitations I may as well stick to nSpire GB for now. :(

Trapped for the TI-Nspire and TI-89 / Re: Block Dude in Lua
« on: April 18, 2011, 06:04:04 pm »
Does the new LUA version have the same graphics as the original Ndless one? I liked the way the blocks (the moveable ones) looked with the gradient.

It was cool, but I thought it could have looked a bit nicer with a background and at least 2-frame animations in the character. Still good though, it's just sometimes odd when there's so many gradients.
