Lol I understand why they would be hard to code, but why would they look so terrible?

Axe / Re: Physics Introduction Axe Tutorial« on: May 20, 2011, 08:54:02 pm »
This is a wonderful tutorial Just one tiny little thing, in the second program you have 4 variables, for position XY, and acceleration AB. However, AB is not actually acceleration, AB is your velocity. AB is being applied to XY, which makes AB velocity. The number that is being applied to AB (in this case its 4 i think) would be your acceleration. Just suggesting that be changed, or else people might become a little confused as to what acceleration and velocity are
Besides that very small quirk though, a very well made tutorial, and one that seems like it could help a lot of people new to Axe 1208
TI Z80 / Re: My explosive contest entry« on: May 20, 2011, 08:48:54 pm »
The player is already propelled by explosions Everything is in the same physics engine, so a force from an explosion will affect all objects. Chain reactions are also implemented, which is why the barrel explodes after the other barrel explodes it into the air. The first explosion ignites (pending flame animation ) and explodes later.
A level editor is a possibility but may not be released for the contest 1209

That would require on the order of 12 or more new sprites for me though Because it will use the same code for all of the weapons. Bleh

I actually think I'm going to switch to using the numpad, although I will still run some tests. The main problem with my current setup, if you have say Up pressed and 2nd pressed, reflexes tend to make people release 2nd and Up at the same time, which sometimes messes up the shots

Here is some eye candy for compensation, although the controls are being modified right now so It was a bit hard to control, and this is only a puzzle in beta so I actually am not able to solve it
EDIT: It also seems that Axe's flip along the vertical axis messes up sometimes... or maybe my codes weird hmmm... ill have to look into it more 1214
TI Z80 / Re: Contest Entry - Time Shift« on: May 20, 2011, 02:02:32 am »
If a few seconds is around 2-3, then his frame rate must be around 290 it would seem
