Portal X / Re: Portal X

Unfortunately progress is exceedingly slow right now due to school and stuff :/ Plus its in a stage where I need longer-ish chunks of time to get progress done, since there really isnt anything I can do in quick stretches right now, and that really hurts progress when I'm really busy unfortunately :(

Don't worry tho, this *will* be finished, its just a question of when :P

It actually happens with all programs that cause a compiler error as far as I can tell, but I don't keep track of my current RAM level and what it should be, so I can't say for sure. Complicating this is that I don't even know how to calculate what the RAM is supposed to be, TI-OS is so unpredictable about that....

Hmmmm I only ask because I have compiled 3 different programs, introducing compiler errors into each, and I've compiled them over and over again but I can't seem to get an error.  Although i just realized I am running 0.5.0, so maybe the issue is in 0.5.1

could you post the specific program that causes the error? this sounds like a major bug O.O

What happens?  Does it happen all the time?  How do you know it is a memory leak?

I always install Omnicalc second, since I usually install it in the middle of Axe programming when i suddenly need to convert between bases

Again, Calc84 is not currently working on this so I think the best thing to is just wait until he posts something, and in the meantime leave him be :) Constantly asking for demos and progress and screenshots is not going to get him to work any faster, and in fact, is probably counterproductive.

Methinks I recognize the font :D Note that the original font was not mine however, although I'm sure there will be no trouble using it.  I unfortunately don't have the software to convert it, so i will merely leave you with that looks like an awesome title screen! :D

I have also had this problem when using *only* Axe and Omnicalc, so I assume its to do with some quirk with their hooks fighting eachother

It probably has something to do with Ti-Boy SE not supporting Game Boy Advanced games unfortunately :/

EDIT: Ninja

Broseph Radsons code will not produce a memory leak, he correctly matches both sets of Ends to their corresponding starting loops, and if he ever exits a loop with a Goto, he uses a carefully placed End to make sure the code returns to the same scope of the program, preventing the memory leak from growing.  In essence, he actually exploits the memory leak you talk about, and accounts for it such that it doesn't build up :)

I think Quigibo thought you meant collision via pixel testing.  Maybe you wanna check out a post I made a bit ago about the subject of per pixel collisions with both square tiles and masked tiles.
