Maybe it can read the contrast when the game starts and use that as a reference?

Maybe instead of 22.5 degree turning, it could have 90 degree turning but with 22.5 or smaller degree animations when you turn? It probably could even be cheated

Axe / Re: Gravitational Acceleration and Platform Detection« on: December 31, 2010, 01:44:35 am »This might not be what you wanted in your game, but doesn't gravity increase velocity quadratically? Acceleration is constant, Velocity is changed linearly, and Position is changed quadratically The best way i have found to do acceleration is to have a velocity variable and add your acceleration to the velocity every frame, and then add the velocity to the position every frame. 2121
Escheron: Shadow over Ragnoth / Re: Escheron: Shadow over Ragnoth« on: December 31, 2010, 01:43:00 am »
Ah sounds good And i don't think super speed is really a neccesity for menu's really Even 1 FPS can work since you really aren't doing anything really intensive.

It always amazes me how important gameplay can be, and yet so many people judge a game solely on its graphics

Graviter / Re: Graviter - Axe« on: December 30, 2010, 03:48:07 am »
Hey this looks really nice I think this concept can be taken far ^^ Are you planning any other features to complement the gravity shifting? Adding keys and doors and stuff like that might make more challenging levels possible, maybe even some scrolling for larger worlds too.
I did notice some of the bugs Like you seem to be able to float in midair, and the spikes on the ceiling don't hurt you |
