That is fantastamazing!  How in the world did you get that to work??

Congratulations to Bwang and apcalc for their new staff positions positions!  And a big round of applesauce to Hot Dog for his new admin manager position!

Hmmmm, i think cable would be more strait forward and cheaper.  That way the same cable that you need to connect to the computer is the same cable to connect to other calculators. (or same port at least)

TI-BASIC / Re: Hex to Sprite
« on: August 26, 2010, 01:08:09 am »
change 9fPart(Z/3->A to int(9fPart(Z/3->A and it should work.  The problem is rounding errors when dividing by odd numbers.  Since dividing by 3 always leaves a repeating decimal, the calculator is forced to round *somewhere*.  Then, you multiply by 3 again (when you multiply by 9 you multiply by 3 twice) and the rounded error is not lost.  So you end up with 6.000000000000001 or something.  On the homescreen this is actually displayed as 6, but if you try to pass it as an argument it gives errors.

TI-BASIC / Re: Run-Length Encoding for Strings
« on: August 25, 2010, 06:30:26 pm »
I believe its the String>Equ( command that is the useless one.  But for some reason it doesn't go both ways.  You need Equ>String() to transfer an equation to a string, but you dont need String>Equ() to transfer a String to an equation o.O

Portal X / Re: Portal control scheme
« on: August 25, 2010, 12:38:20 pm »
Hmm thats doesn't sound intuitive nor easy to program, not only is there a rough transition between the number pad and the operator keys, but it also uses the On key D:

[OTcalc] Z80-Hardware / Re: [OTZ80] [Poll] Do you want a backlit screen?
« on: August 25, 2010, 02:04:38 am »
I voted no because i cant see a situation where it would be needed outside of gaming (since this needs to be math oriented as well if we are to sell it) if its dark and you need light on your calc, you probably will need light on your homework as well! ;D

3463
I actually would prefer just a simple LCD battery indicator on the screen.

3464
I put 240x160.  Not huge, but its a very reasonable resolution for a calculator.  Also cuts cost

3465
I'm down for just simple arrow keys :P Makes it nice and simple
