That looks totally cool :) It really does look almost asm like, although the speed isn't, it doesn't matter because it creates pretty sweet looking maps :) Good job!  And good job on the battle engine as well :]

I dropped mine without its case, but it was like a slip off of a chair onto carpet :/ It hit on the edge though so maybe that hade it worse.  Oh well

Sprite rotation would be extra useful.  Rotating by angles other than multiples of 90 might be extremely difficult and slow, but 90 degree rotations, and flipping as well i think would be very useful, and hopefully not to difficult to implement.

Does it do the linear algebra for every pixel every frame?  Or does it precalculate the camera offsets and to rotation and translations transformations on them?
