Ah I see, maybe it could work ^^ maybe an Axiom that lets you define your own font set? 
Like, absorb a zStart/Omnicalc/Grammer(if it uses appvars or something) font set, take the height/width parameters and work from there?
That would be cool, even more versatile ;D

Can someone make a smaller font, like, 4*3 or something?  I've been mentally putting together a HUD and the normal Text() font is just too big at times :/

Hm...You're using the latest version of Axe right?  Some of the early 1.0.x versions have major archive-corrupting bugs.

Art / Tilting helicopter sprites

I'm trying to make sprites of a helicopter, but where it looks like it's tilting backward/forwards a bit (as if it's moving really fast in that direction or was just hit).

I'm kind of satisfied with how the tilting-forward one turned out, however I'm not too sure about the backwards one...

I was wondering if someone might be able to fix it up somehow so it's more recognizable as a helicopter.

Ok I'm trying to make tilted sprites for the helicopters, for more of an effect.  Trouble is I kind of fail at spriting at times :P

I used Paint.NET to rotate these, and after a bit of editing they kind of look about right...?
I'm satisfied how the tilting forward one turned out however I'm wondering how the one tilting backward might be improved.  It just looks wonky to me :/

Edit: yes the sprites are 8*8 there's just a blank square around it to get a better impression of it.

Edit2: might as well say it now...I'm starting with the helicopters for the AI because they don't have to worry about jumping and stuff, just sort of moving back/forth and shooting.
