Ok, reading through tonight's logs I couldn't help but notice this:
Quote
[23:21:30] <+Bboy> Ok so buttons that are initiliazed by other buttons are stored in the level data after all of the other normal buttons and in the order that they are referenced by those buttons
[23:21:32] <+Bboy> whew
[23:21:54] <+Bboy> i was definitely not a naive coder back then
[23:22:34] <+Runer112> check out this beastly code
[23:22:47] <@Eeems> 42
[23:22:54] <@Eeems> ^ it's a beast
[23:22:58] <@Eeems> :)

[23:24:15] <+Runer112> it's an optimized way of sayind D*10+(B/256)
[23:24:25] <+Runer112> as long as you know that A/256=0
[23:24:28] <leafiness0> runner

[19:29] <+alberthro> Oh, and 2 more little suggestions: 1) reimplement omnicalc's fast app menu, since you say that it needs extra ram to run; 2) cock saving! Yes, this might be the best idea, but it will save me time in the future when changing time :P
Now quote #120.

1501.  You can't let this thread die! :)
^that

1541:

You don't think "Ooh yummy me want"
You think something like
"Hey, I wonder if that foil is conductive?  I could use it to replace the worn-out wad in my MSD8X adapter..."

True :P

Got a working multimeter today ;D and was able to test it.

Details of a Casio cable:
The sleeves (labeled as 1) are connected.
The tip (3) is connected to the ring (2) on the other side.  Same both ways.

Looks to me like the 'data lines' are swapped...

EDIT: ndless to say I don't have a TI cable to do the same test with...but I'm suspecting that with TI cables, the tip on one side is connected to the other and the ring is connected to the ring.  w00t.

Can I do anything with my TI-30XIIS?
Spoiler For Don't look:
Lose the TI30XIIS game.  Now, whenever you see it... >:D
You could do pac-man:
Code: [Select]
(<)........and alternate with
Code: [Select]
.(-).......

True, it might be a somewhat hard to implement a system like that (surely it could be simplified a bit), but think of how much more fun it would be...

Just got an idea for this.
Different fields for different player 1337ness levels.
People of the same skill level would play against others of the same skill level.

To start, possibly we could hold a tournament, 1v1 of the people who play the game currently.  From the results, different skill levels, or "tiers", would then be determined--into bronze, silver and gold.

After that, a universal password for the earned tier level and the level(s) below is PMed or something to people respectively.

Like, bronze has a password, silver has another password, and gold has yet another.  A person who earned bronze would get the password to the bronze field, and a person who earned gold would get the password to the bronze, silver and gold fields.

A person can move up a level in one of two ways:
1. Challenge someone from the tier above
2. Get noticed by a person from the tier above, and be challenged

(btw, is tier even the right word...)

Also, one could possibly be "demoted" or something if they don't match the skill level of others in the same level.

Rooms wouldn't have to be up all the time, one could announce the temporary creation of a room of a given level on IRC or something, then link it.

I guess that about sums up what's been going through my head...
So, any thoughts?  Suggestions?

I'm hoping it's something as minor as the plug needing to be sanded a bit...

Just got a multimeter today, mint-condition, from Radioshack.  Doesn't work :P
So yeah, I'll try returning it and getting a new one tomorrow and/or seeing if there's a continuity tester in-store that I would be able to use.

My idea: Ask Runer for optimizing, he's an optimizing guru.
Just make sure to ask to keep it readable..

Yes, I was kidding :P
Unless he can warp the fabric of time* and post from the future/past, it doesn't look like there's a January 2010 release.

*or has database access

Haxball.  With AI.  'nuff said. ;)

1. send individual files from calc
2. leave them as individual files

choice:
3.1: attach all separately
3.2: put all files (should be .8xp btw) in a folder, right click, "send to zipped folder"

hope this helps ;)

EDIT: ninja'd
