LOL at the first one
I've seen the second one before...My geometry teacher made a powerpoint about "How to Fail With Dignity" I'll find a few.... OK, here They're not all math related, but still... "I have 138 legs!" "I'm a rabbit with 41 heads but I'm in a box" That one's kind of uncalled for... I don't know either I can probably find more... 3004

Is there an updated version of this?
http://ourl.ca/8409/154963 Also, I'm working on a smoothscroller in tandem with Tio. The 6*6 char is locked in the middle (so (x,y)=45,29)), and the blocks are in 8*8. What kind of formula would I use to figure out which 8*8 square each corner of the 6*6 sprite? Variables: Pointer: E (reads at random from RAM) Top-left corner: I,J Offset: N,O Thanks in advance. 3005

Graviter / Re: Graviter - Axe« on: February 17, 2011, 07:22:20 pm »
Is it necessary to have it pxl-test at every spot along the line? It might be possible to have it test every 5 pixels or something. One couldn't get very advanced with that, though...

The Axe Parser Project / Re: axe progs that do funny things to your calc.« on: February 17, 2011, 07:20:36 pm »Someone should also make the Cookie Monster Virus: It was a virus for old computers that would say "GIVE ME A COOKIE" and relentlessly ask until you typed "COOKIE" at the prompt. Maybe, for that devastating X-1 virus, it could do that instead of crashing your calc. That would be pretty epic, actually...like that as a password program or something 3008

Umm...did you mean to post this in Axe bug reports or something?
So, you compiled it as an app. It uses SMC. SMC doesn't work properly in apps. IDK the 'don't use SMC in apps or else _____ ' but it can't be good. Compile for Ion, MOS, no shell, or DCS. btw I wouldn't know how to use the mathprint stuff--os 2.43 is enough for me and I have a 9860gii with, i guess, casio's version of MP anyway. 3010
Axe / Re: Smoothscrolling tilemapper« on: February 17, 2011, 02:49:25 pm »
Ok, that's been taken care of since, and I have a pretty good idea of how it works.
A random idea I got was to make simply written, heavily commented source code, so other people can learn from them. So far, I have basic 8*8 tilemapping (no scrolling) covered. Quick question: there's a type of scrolling, not smoothscrolling, but it scrolls like 8 pixels at a time. Kind of like, say, pyyrix did scrolling. What's that called? btw yes, i'm still working on Tio, I'm just trying to learn more on how to do this so i don't screw up big time then i try to add it. 3011
Other Calculators / Re: How did your program or game get its name?« on: February 17, 2011, 02:30:41 pm »
Hmm...so many...
For Tio, I originally had a game in which you try to turn all the lights off, so i abbrevieated Turn It Off and called it Tio. I kind of liked the sound of that, so I named the platformer i had just started to Tio and the light game to LightOff. 3012

I have a folder of the neseccary dlls, but I've been told it's not exactly a good way to do it...
It works fine for me tho Would it be legal to post the folder, or is there copyright stuff/whatever in there? And why is it supposedly bad to do it this way? I've yet to run into any problems... EDIT yes, that's version 1.13, 1.14 doesn't work well for some reason and the librarian freaked out when he saw the command prompt. |
