The GIF above shows, the link doesn't work.
Glad to see there's still progress.

News / Re: More Casio Prizm information« on: November 11, 2010, 03:25:15 pm »Optimized.LOL I'm wondering how ling it'll take the Prizm to catch up in popularity to something like the 84. Probably as soon as somebody make a cell-phone mod... Really, though. How many people outside of calc forums might know about the Prizm? [offtopic]About the style, it certainly looks better than the n-spire, IMHO. Less like a brick and more like...something[/offtopic] 3440

Almost anything's hard to get used to. I have a Casio FX-9750gii, and if it weren't for the incompatibility of FA-124 (the linking program, like TI-connect), which refuses to connect with my calc using USB (correct me if I'm wrong), I'd probably be fairly active in some or another Casio community as well.
From what I've seen, it's not very active (try a side-by-side comparison of casiocalc.org vs. ticalc.org, or even hpcalc.org) but either way... As for us being programmers for TI, I would not be surprised to see things like third-party OSes en masse if that happened. Just imagine... The prizm looks epic, and if it's developed enough and I get the opportunity (and have the money), I'll probably get one of them. Edit: horray for (overuse (of (parenthesis!))) 3441

What I've used was Krolypto. I don't know anybody that could get past it (except for myself, but you need a screwdriver).
If you don't want to do that, see if you have calcutil. If you do, you can use its run program on startup function Spoiler For how: 3442

Hmm...reminds me of logo
Ad Xtravars, I think, allows you to copy/paste the character into the source or something. EDIT: ninja'd 3443
TI Z80 / Re: Breakout clone« on: November 11, 2010, 02:03:40 am »
I spent about half an hour in endless mode.
A few limits might help to keep the game challenging and interesting. 1) Paddle width--after a while it was wider than the screen, so you could just leave it and/or watch the score increase 2) # of balls limit--there were about 20 by the time I got tired of it 3) some way to keep track of the score if it goes over 65535. It looped six or seven times Code: [Select] Disp <Score>,i,"65535 times ",<Var> With <var> incrementing by 1 each 65535 or something.

*writes idea in programming notebook*
I would have to think of something quite unique to contest with the current ones...screen flipping effects or something... 3445
The Axe Parser Project / Re: Features Wishlist« on: November 11, 2010, 12:09:31 am »
I've mentioned lines to back-buffer already, I'm pretty sure, but I just ran into a problem with a possible menu.
So, I was thinking...whatever you can do with a sprite (on, off, change) you could do with a line, to both buffers. Something like this would help with filling a large, outline block-style font with grayscale and changing it back again (i.e. the flash TWHG's menu, grayscale-ified for the calc) EDIT: it looks kind of like the poll's decided 3446

*goes to check arcade* Maybe one of those games could make a simple Axe port...
Is there an Axe tetris yet...? 3448

Maybe there can be an option for the person who started the board...right next to "lock this topic" or nearby there could be another checkbox--"set as important post" or something like that?

Miscellaneous / Re: Calvin and Hobbes« on: November 10, 2010, 11:52:14 pm »
lol nice
I've noticed how the wagon rides tend to be calvin's philosophical, think-about-life times and then...WHAM! Oh, the one where they end up yelling at each other and the hobbses write it for him/them, making fun of Calvin and how lazy he is?Yes!I love that cardboard box! Did you ever read the comics where Calvin travels forward in time to get his homework from his future self? 3450
TI Z80 / Re: The World's Hardest Game« on: November 10, 2010, 06:56:50 pm »Cool, will this be the final version or will there be more added in the future?Depends on what people want, I guess. I ran into some problems making screenshots, namely the school library. Apparently they were doing a re-take of the CAHSEE. This just keeps getting delayed more and more... Good news is, no school tomorrow or Friday (holiday tomorrow, furlough day Friday)! So unless something happens out of the normal, I should be able to get it up later today or tomorrow. |
