Extension of 2035:
4258: You're finding userbars you made on just about every page.

Extension of 1502:
4259: You get so caught up in making sure a sign isn't repeated, two people post in the meantime.

Edit: second sign is an extension of another as well :P just don't search the word "repeat" on the print page if you have a junky browser
2313: We repeat stuffs here. A lot.

Edit2: fixed counting seeing post below :P

General Calculator Help / Re: Need TI-83+ repair help
« on: January 23, 2013, 05:23:14 pm »
Since it's slowly fading, I'm going to guess it's a hardware problem. There's a chance that it might be a software problem (could be the contrast messing around? :P), so maybe try re-sending the OS or something, but idk how much that'll do :/

When was the last time it worked? Was it only after it was left under the pillow the screen stopped working?

Site Feedback and Questions / Re: TI calc Repair SubForum
« on: January 23, 2013, 02:30:23 pm »
For IRC, you can use a client like mIRC, Hexchat etc, something like mibbit or efnet.org, or just use the IRC link at the top of the page ;)
http://www.omnimaga.org/index.php?action=ezportal;sa=page;p=24

About the subforum, personally I don't see people asking for how to repair a calc too often..not sure if it's enough to warrant one :/
General Calculator Help seems like the way to go.

TI-Nspire / Re: nCraft (3D minecraft-like game for the nspire)

Inb4 this becomes another Project M-esque thread :P

Frankly I wouldn't mind seeing this continued either, but let's keep in mind that he'll get to it when he gets to it. On his own schedule ;)
Currently, I'm working on a Touhou-like shooter in lua, but I will finish it quite soon and I'll most likely go back to nCraft.

Does the outro necessarily have to be done in blender? Flat pixels (or pixels in general) might be easier with flash or similar.

Or maybe it could be made at a small resolution and just scaled up, no supersampling :P might be obvious tho

News / Re: Lots of new TI-84 Plus C related images!

Frankly I like the old 96*64-screen font better than this one. It looks like they spent about 10 minutes max on it, and the work done by someone who knows next to nothing about what letters are supposed to look like. :/
They even managed to fudge up the > and > symbols somehow 0.o
Battery indicator could use some work too..
Edit: looks like they've changed the multiplication sign since the last screenshots. It's a start..

So the battery pack's different from the one in the CX?

And the grey keys (+/-///*/function keys) come also in different colors? O.o
That's the "school property" one.
Tho looking at datamath there's a few existing ones so time will tell I guess :P

Liking the "hardware" section that has a picture of a processor which says nothing about the processor. x.x

* Darl181 tends to like how the "school property" versions look for some reason

Edit:

well-known apps of the 84+, now adapted for the 84C
* Darl181 wonders how unlikely it is to see a puzzpack update :P
tho they didn't make it in the first place so it wouldn't be a surprise if they didn't..

real-time
This.

Also random thought: a hole/multiple holes could explode in a wall serving as the background (or something similar) showing subscribe, like, other vid etc behind it.
Another: guessing blender doesn't work like this but maybe the explosion could be made more pixelated. Something like cubes maybe?

News / Re: Custom Boot graphics on TI-Nspire CX !
« on: January 17, 2013, 05:26:37 am »
Hmm not sure what I should put gangnam style, or windows XP bootup
Nah, I'd go with the ubuntu bootscreen, nice, clean, and it's ubuntu, what else do you want :)
Or even better, a Crysis loading screen :P
How about just something like

:P

Hm, I'm wondering if this can eventually turn into a grub/burg sort of thing for linux dual-boot stuffs. Tho that would prolly have more to do with the loading itself than the theme..? Come to think of it this is more like plymouth than a selector anyways...

Anyways,

Other Calculators / Re: Best calc for programming?
« on: January 15, 2013, 10:54:42 pm »
Just curious, which is better? Casio Prizm or fx-9860GII (or fx-9860GII SD)?
The 9860 is the older of the two, and it has quite a few good programs. However it recently went through a hardware change so some of the old programs still might not have been made compatible yet.
As a calculator it's pretty good, after using it in a primarily-z80 math class it's better/faster in just about every way I can think of compared to the TIs aside from the small community and the resulting small library of programs/ways to program :P

The Prizm does pretty much everything the 9860 does, and then more with the color screen. it's kind of new, just being a few years old, but still has a sizable community and growing number of programs. It hooks up to the computer like a usb drive, so no linking programs needed. It doesn't look too bad either ;)

Both have C, lua and an implementation of Basic.
Edit2: and asm :P

Basically it depends on your priorities, (math vs gaming vs programming vs etc) but the Prizm seems to be the more popular of the two around the community atm.

Edit: just as a note I don't follow casio stuff too closely, I'm just saying what I know having both of them :P

Basically you scale it around without supersampling then paste a texture (something like a halfway-transparent square with opaque corners) over it (ctrl+; ftw), play with the opacity until you like it.
