Validating takes a while on boot code 1.03 (which I'm guessing you have), iirc it can get upwards of 10 minutes :/

Sounds like you have boot 1.03. Maybe try this?
You'll need to have it on the computer to patch it and send it to the calc tho.  See link two posts above ;)

I love to program on calculators and have fun with them.
Seems like you'll fit in quite well ;D

The best way to learn Axe tends to be reading through the documentation. And keep a printout of the commands list handy ;)
If you have any questions, feel free to ask around.

I'm guessing most of them will have to be re-done.
He has an index of most/all of his mods here.

Mathprint was kind of poorly done, to say the least :P  The program editor bugs when used with zStart if mathprint's enabled. I'd just stick with classic (or better, 2.43).

On a different note that looks like one of the more epic ways to crash it, lol

When you preview/modify a post most of them appear.

(tho there's some extra misc things O0, some police one and maybe more)

Maybe it could be the greenish background with blue pixels or something to fit in with the omni theme? On the 83+ series they can be made to burn a distinct blue after all :P

Idea sounds awesome btw.  Maybe the pixel could start flickering over the video itself, and during the zoom-out the background dissolves in or something?
E: that's be more of an outro, nvm

Yeah, tho looking at it it hasn't been updated for about six months..guess that might not work then :P

Hm, I'm wondering if the on-computer axe emulator supports libraries. If that's possible maybe people can use that as an alternative?
I haven't kept track of it too closely tho :/

:P

Sounds pretty cool. Never played any steam games myself but it's nice to see more options than the normal three companies.

There's some sort of contract with some staff at TI-Planet iirc.
Also aren't those the snap-on faceplates from the non-color 84s?

Other Calc-Related Projects and Ideas / Re: OmniRPG - Sprites
« on: December 08, 2012, 08:05:19 am »
I'm not really sure on what sprite size I'd go for, tho I'm leaning towards 8*8 for memory and simplicity.
12*12 would be great if it can be made to work optimally both space-wise and speed-wise tho. Maybe the extra 4px on the bottom sould be used for a hud or something. (softkeys?)

As for the grayscale, a random thought that came to mind was maybe it have monochrome primarily, and have an option to make it 3-lvl gray for shininess if the player wants it? If they don't want it they could just not send an appvar or whatever with the masking sprites.

Poll added.  For the record there's the "add poll" button at the bottom of the page ;)

Personally I prefer ARPGs when I do play rpgs. Also I'm guessing the programmer wouldn't have to concern as much about stat balancing :P just hit the button fast
