[necro]

Just got my laptop in the past week :)

Dell Inspiron N4110
Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit
Intel Core i3-2330M @2.20GHz
4GB DDR3-10700 SDRAM
Graphics card - Intel HD 3000 (or something like that)
Seagate Momentus 5400.6 ST9500325AS (500GB)

I prolly missed stuff, so I found this which goes pretty in-depth.

Might upgrade to Ultimate b/c there's the disk lying around somewhere in this house, but I don't feel like reinstalling drivers and stuff and I'll probably take advantage of the Windows 8 for ~$15 thing in a few months anyway.

Ndless / Re: HELP QUICK

What I'm wondering is are there nspires sold yet that come with 3.2 installed?  I got my CX in June and it had 3.0 on it.

Maybe have a version that refuses apply a config if it goes above the safe level?
Then a dev version or something that doesn't, to what purpose that could realistically serve I have no idea :P

TI-Nspire / Re: Play SNES Games on your ti-nspire CX
« on: August 28, 2012, 04:18:34 am »
I think you configure it on the computer with what games you want on it, then send it as you would any other rom.  Afaict there's a menu you can bring up to select.

Ndless / Re: HELP!
« on: August 28, 2012, 04:02:35 am »
Seeing as it says Ndless was updated, it indicates that Ndless was installed correctly before.
(also I'm guessing it said it "will now reboot"?)

Did you follow the directions here?  ndless_resources should have been sent before sending the tno if I'm understanding this correctly.
It's just reminding you to not delete it, it doesn't create it.

Figured I might as well post the theme I use on a daily basis :P
Originally based on the Firefox theme 8 Ultimo (see post ↑), tweaked a bit over time for readability and stuff.

(looks better when not murdered by gif limitations)

Not as polished as the other one, but still usable :)

Never got around to finishing documenting this, so if someone else wants to then have at it :)

General Calculator Help / Re: gpsp-nspire problem
« on: August 27, 2012, 06:58:41 pm »
Yes, for example you can shrink pokemon emerald from ~16mb down to 6.6.

After checking, the launch time seems the same for each afaict ??? so I guess I'll just keep doing zips :P

WabbitStudio Software Suite / Re: FT\uc appvars ?
« on: August 27, 2012, 04:14:27 am »
Are you sure you're not overflowing L1, or aiming for an appvar but missing it, or..something like that?  I've gotten junk appvars in the past and it was because the program wrote where it wasn't supposed to.

Iirc Insight is open-source, so you can look inside of it and find the calls somewhere in there.

[/pyramid] :P

I think that was when it was still a private alpha..but then a lot has changed since then.
Anyway smaller size (albeit slower launching time I guess) is a good enough difference for me ;D

News / Re: nRemote : Control your TI-Nspire from your computer !
« on: August 26, 2012, 03:30:27 pm »
Referencing this and this, (linked from this :P) each calculator thing costs $40 O.O
...and then the access point costs ~1200
:ti:

Edit: also bump for this <_<
So for it working the other way..might it be possible to get it to control some on-computer things (read: nspire_emu)? :D

Regarding the zipped roms, just make sure the rom ends with .gba then send to a zipped folder, then change it from .zip to .zip.tns. Then send :)

Miscellaneous / Re: What is your avatar?
« on: August 22, 2012, 03:39:00 am »
I've managed to keep the same avatar for a few months ( \o/ ), tho it did almost change at one point.  Turns out you can't use an svg as an avatar :P
(like http://darl181.webuda.com/other/avatarIII.svg )
C-c-c-combo breaker :P
Simplified a bit, also I think the lines are darker? Made it back in April for reasons I don't remember, but it's simpler/smaller so I guess it works  ;D

Edit: nvm that can't seem to get it to work, it won't update even after clearing cache and such ???
guess I'm staying with this one

Edit2: worked this time, so yeah
