Awesome. A couple days ago I was playing cuberunner on the 84 and some people had the normal reaction ("wow those can play games?"), now to watch people's faces as this starts going Is there a pause key, tho? Also I'm kind of wishing for different difficulties, it starts out kind of slow IMO.

Maybe have a hue slider somewhere. * Darl181 makes everything cyan and yellow somehow

Hm, it should be all pink except for Netham's nick- which should be the normal color

Umm very useful description Yeah it does or it needs to be included somewhere in the thread page so people can see it. I almost never browse through the forums where I'd see the descripition. It's shown in the thread if there is one, just before the "(Read ## times)" at the top.

Hm, maybe some sort of alternating thing, or just have it flash fast in a way that doesn't mess up the grayscale? Or every frame just draw random horizontal/vertical lines where the lasers go

Just had a random thought: if it scrolls one pixel per frame and you get it to run at ~60 fps, you might be able to get away with having a monochrome background and have the scrolling act like the scanlines. Then it might run a bit faster, only having to scroll one buffer? Not sure how running would be done, tho..aside from maybe scrolling three pixels at a time or having the normal walk be slowed down?

Looking pretty good One thing I would suggest, tho, is maybe have the lasers flash or something, or have the center go transparent after it reaches full width.

Still going kind of slow unfortunately. Most of what I've been doing lately is theory and such, because most of the things cropping up now require some major revisions to the code (explosions with frag, enemies with AI, etc) which take a long time to do, and if it's not done right I spend the next few weeks debugging Tho there are some smaller things that I'm putting time into as well. Something about the ability to mix and match custom backgrounds, ability to have multiple levels, an actual pause menu (teacher key will prolly be moved a la Switch or something), and an options menu that's actually presentable. Edit: random weapon idea: some sort of combustile bubble blower I have no clue where these ideas come from

From what I remember of some posts from yesterday, there might have been some problems with OmnomIRC causing slowdowns. Not sure tho.

The content shows in the print page 0.o So I'll guess it's something to do with rendering the normal page?

On an off-topic note, does anyone know how to figure out the URL of a wiki logo? I was wondering since I wanted to put it in the news post but it seems the link is hidden, encrypted or something.
It's in the css, and got it with firebug http://tistory.wdfiles.com/local--files/home/tistorylogo.png

Ok, how about this... Two (sort of, more like 4) requests 1) a signed Disp, so numbers >32768 would display the respective negative number. Ie instead of 65472 it would print - 64 , prolly requiring six spaces to work in instead of the normal five. Or maybe even have the negative sign next to the topmost digit, if it's smaller code-wise 1a) something similar for Text() 1b) support for one- byte numbers, maybe check the syntax at compile-time? 2) a Disp that advances only as many digits as the number needs They would all be optional, so the existing commands aren't changed. E: changed "bit" to "byte" >.<

When i clicked auto-detect it jumped from -3, which it was at previously, to -9. Edit: and it's still 6 hours off.. Edit2: changing the time offset in forum preferences didn't change the time offset on the forums. Quick test, does this post say 5:09 pm 17:09 for other people not in PST?

Idk, now it's acting weird 0.o Reply #8, from Thursday, is labeled as "Yesterday." Looking at action=stats it seems like the forums know what day it is, the number of posts next to 2012-04-14 is increasing..

If you're running it in wabbit you can speed up the emulation so it goes faster. Not sure if it changes the screenie, tho..
Edit: as far as I can tell, people try to make Tron AIs and they're pitted against each other.
