A Megaminx, some $, a new backpack (they keep ripping apart), a shaver, a necktie, a packet of Ghiradelli's and a puzzle book. Edit: and a watch. Slightly OT bit I was half-tempted to start something like this in #-spam yesterday

Hm I was hoping to have an SCB beta ready for today...oh well. In any case I'll prolly be keeping myself busy with a Megaminx thing.

Hm that makes sense actually..I was thinking it might be something really simple like this but didn't know what it would be tho I prolly should have known after taking algebra II...idk :\

Ok I'm trying to figure out how to do angles. What I'm thinking of is if some value is, say, 64 (the 256-degree equivalent of 90 degrees), it sets the x-velocity to the max and y-velocity to 0. If that value is 128 it should set the y-vel to the max, x-vel zero, etc.
How would I go about doing this?
EDIT: answered on IRC. .A is angle, 256 degrees .M is max velocity cos(A)*2**M→(x-vel) Then determine Y-velocity based on that.

I noticed the logo things weren't updated yet, and I had some free time at school. I'm not sure if the spacing between the E and W in "Newser" is right, but it looks better a little compressed imho. Edit: re-uploaded, smaller file size

It's getting close... I'm playing around with how the weapon projectiles are displayed, the way I'm doing it in Essence may be optimized code-wise but you end up with something like 4 or 5 of the same sprites

I think he might be trying to have flexibility with the exit animation so he doesn't have the same problem he had with Graviter (an animation, but not really a transition ) It might be possible to have, say, elevator doors somewhere tho...that would be sweet

- Anti-Riot Squad - Newsers
Made some to reflect the changes, in the style of these. We have quite the rainbow of usergroups now, if we didn't before 0.o Edit: fixed glow on "Newser" bar

Maybe I should read the firefox docs and see if I can make a clone of this... You should The only version of Firefox I have is portable, and any add-ons at all make it lag tremendously, so I can't really work on a Firefox extension.
OK. I'll try it some time then
Odd, I'm using Firefox portable with like 3 addons (on a school comp, no less) and it runs better than the one on the C drive 0.o Anyway, this for FF ++ Edit: wait are you using the PortableApps thing? I remember that being horrendously slow..

[necro] Restructured mine a bit, now the bunch of random stuff forms columns. There's no less than three two tables in there. Also I finally made my own ticalc.org ub, so now I've made every ub in my sig

Tried my own hand at a ticalc.org user bar. I debated with myself whether to put the shiny thing on it or not, ended up not doing it because imho it looks better flat (esp. because it's for a site where most of the stuff is pixelated monochrome or grayscale anyway ). Also Axe 1.1.1 bars. Edit: and now I can truly say I made every ub in my sig

So it's supposed to seem as if the camera's trying to keep up with the car (or whatever it is)? Fun

Nice to see progress on this I'm assuming the sprite moves up/down the screen relative to speed?
