TI Z80 / Re: Real-time fighting« on: February 10, 2009, 04:16:28 pm »Ahah!! I've found the game that I played years ago that I remember that inspired this game. http://www.onlineflashgames.org/6-adventure-games/1735-flash-game-gladiator/play.html whatever you do, don't make it as buggy as that game is where half the time you can't do anything because of the bad programming that gets you stunlocked continually for over ten seconds at a time or leaves your AI assist doesn't do a dang thing because he isn't programmed well. I remember playing that game on newgrounds when it came out and I remember hating it because the programming was rushed and not looked through for fine tuning. 78

Pokeman is the game about the guy who does the hokey pokey and the smokie was a chokie and a blokie flokie with an artichokie... wait.. 80
TI Z80 / Re: Potter and the Fortress of Moo (AKA Potterquest 2)« on: February 09, 2009, 02:01:48 pm »Lol at the linksssh. stop spoiling the code I've been working on. There's already a check to see what's been dropped, and if the map data happens to load that square then you can get it back. and I'm aiming for a seamless world - much like that of the walking overworld map thing in pokeman games. (not pokemon, because I'm not jamacian.) 81

You arrive at a forum thread. Someone has posted some instructions. You read them. There is a note that your life is in great danger, and that you must take the blue hyperlink. You look further down, and see many blue* hyperlinks. Which do you choose?
This one. (Go to page Lolwut) This one. (Go to page Omgwtf) This one. (Go to page Kittens) *May or may not be blue. 86

if you're gonna have a visible inventory with icons though it might be a good idea to use a matrix. much more simplified to navigate around in, but if you're using something like final fantasy's inventory system then yeah a list works wonders.
