Minecraft Discussion / Re: List of Minecraft servers
« on: April 10, 2012, 09:14:19 pm »
I'm hosting a server every so often on eeems.dyndns.org:9006
It's a bukkit server with a whole bunch of mods installed, mainly iConomy and Towny so basically you can own land etc :)
I'm hoping to get it a more permanent host later on and maybe make it an official Omnimaga server or something ;)

Site Feedback and Questions / Re: Spambot bans
« on: April 09, 2012, 04:43:44 am »
Hmm, actually there was only one like that...and it had Juju's email... I don't know where the other stuff would be. The only thing for emails I can find is the webmaster's email, which is already one of the @omnimaga ones.

Hmm, looks like there are a couple smaller ones with the specific messages saying to contact, juju or you to register. I'll go fix that.

Site Feedback and Questions / Re: Spambot bans

Would it be possible to check every bot bans in the admin ban list to make sure that none of them give my e-mail address and instead give another e-mail that Omni admins have access to? Because it's the 2nd time I get e-mailed by members who have trouble registering due to the bot bans and it seems the ban messages tells them to e-mail me to get their account pre-registered or approved. ???
Erm, our auto ban list catches hundreds...I'm not sure anybody wants to hand check them all.
Also, I'm pretty sure it they should be given one of our @omnimaga.org emails to send to instead of yours... I'll check in the admin settings to see if there is a setting...

Computer Projects and Ideas / Re: Omnimaga Pacman Repo
« on: April 03, 2012, 11:13:26 pm »
I added another package a little while ago to the repo. If you have a withg account you will see it in action every time you log into ssh :P
System-msg allows admins to easily add messages to be displayed at boot without having to edit files. Although with the -f flag you can edit a file if you want to make it look perfect first :)

You should always use google to check for answers to your questions before you post. Not only are you more likely to get your answer faster and thus implement it faster but you also keep others from having to use google ;)

I lol'd XD

I hated how old stuff was so heavy, though. My mom's fridge could not even be moved at all and when we tried to, it destroyed the floor.
They may have been heavy but they were made to last :P
I miss that about old tech....they actually weren't made as cheap as possible so they wouldn't break that easy ( Case and point; my laptop's motherboard died and it's not even a year old ).

I think he meant to type "thing" instead of "think"
Exactly lol
Ah maybe. And yeah some of the older stuff is much more resistant than new stuff. Take for example the Nintendo 64 or the SNES and compare it to the Playstation 2. NES is more destructible but it lasts years lol.

Today they make electronics purposely break after a few years of use, to make people buy new ones.

<3 Nokia :P

Yeah I think it was that one. it felt weird to see a monochrome screen phone again. And lol
That thing is indestructible...

Btw Engadget reviewed like 20 electronic things yesterday, even a cellphone from the '90s.
Nokia?

I've noticed a few people going on a comment replying rampage on that article *cough*me and Kerm*cough* :P
