Steam games are just games packaged to be used with steam, they aren't always dependent on it. There are a few that require it for multiplayer but other than that you don't actually need to have steam running for most of them.
You can disable automatic synchronizations so it doesn't sync your game data to the cloud. I'm not sure if you can disable updates though, but you can always pause the downloads if you don't want them running. 1458

I'm pretty sure you can play them without steam. Just go the <steam install dir>\steamapps\common\ find half life and try launching it from there.
Steam is more then just a messenger service. It's a means of getting the games and updates as well. http://store.steampowered.com/about/ It's the equivalent of xbox live for the computer. 1459

So basically what is illegal in the US. I would say Canada, but some things are legal in Canada that aren't in the US. What DJ has said has all been applicable btw. Maybe we should add a subsection on some specifics but mention that it is not limited to those. Thanks for pointing that out to us 1463

It was about creating a picture that you thought best represented the idea of Omnimaga.
I posted a news article about it a week ago 1468
News / Mini Contest Results« on: December 06, 2011, 09:41:33 am »
Alright so it's been more then a week since the contest started and I'm proud to announce that we have a winner!
Congratulations to jsj795 for his winning entry. Unfortunately there were only two entries and I could only pick one winner. I will show both pictures though and allow them both to plug their site ( if they have one ) in this news article ( when they let me know what they want plugged ). jsj795's image I felt encompassed Omnimaga the most out of the two images and it just felt right to me. So without further ado, here is the winning image: (click to enlarge) Our runner up, ruler501's image was good and it defiantly encompassed a bunch of our memes, so thanks for the effort! Here is his entry: 1469

Alright the contest is over and there were only two entries. I wish I could give you both the prize but I can't since I only have one copy. I'll post a news article in the morning with the winner and then contact them so they can get their prize
