it's also incompatible with AJAX, has a considerably higher client-side load requirement, and constantly refreshes the pages.
I was pretty sure they were pretty close to the same thing. I also haven't noticed the higher client load requirement with json/jsonp when I used it.

JSONP wouldn't be any good, it's incompatible with AJAX.
Yup, I got everything I need.
I'm going to make a subdomain on Omnimaga.org, omnom.omnimaga.org. I can then set the document.domain to omnimaga.org for OmnomIRC stuffs, then I can get around the same-origin policy and remove the bounces(logbounce.php, userbounce.php, messagebounce.php), which are the main 3 that are generating traffic.
Edit: JSONP is just a way of moving data.
it would require a little changing to your end and it would work fine for me. iOmnom can handle JSONP fine with a tiny bit of modification. JSONP also allows you to not have to follow the same-origin policy and it would work pretty great.

JSONP would probably help with this probably

Yeah I'm not actually sure what's going on. I'm still trying to figure out a fix for this.
Also, updates for toggling highlights on username mentions, and changing the refresh rate.

The logout button still takes me to "page not found" at omnimaga.org/iOmnom/undefined
I've been getting that too on my iPod, the strange thing is, it works completely fine on google chrome for me. Still trying to figure a way around it. Also, every line has huuuuge top and bottom margins, which really hinders the amount of visible text which is already quite limited for mobile devices.
Yeah, Netham has been making some changes that were the cause of that (I use the same stuff OmnomIRC does so any changes he does to the backend of that I get too ) But that should be fixed now I believe.

*UPDATE* iOmnom now has a prettier login/logout system. To logout just go to settings and hit the logout button in the top left corner. When you are logged out and you open iOmnom is will automatically create an overlay with the login box for you and after you correctly login with it it will let you begin using iOmnom. I also made the title text white so it's easier to see

Have you set the boot flag on the USB's partition?
I don't know what this is.
All partitions have some options, their name, and a couple of flags. One of these flags is a boot flag, when this is set the partition can be used to boot up the system from the BIOS. That is why you can have multiple partitions on a hard drive and have only one set to be used as the boot partition. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boot_flag

I used the instructions here to download the DVD ISO of Linux Mint 10 and then I put it on my USB drive using the program that was linked to in the description. I'm now trying to boot from the USB drive (it's 2 GB), but my computer doesn't seem to recognize it... I'm not sure if it can boot from USB at all. Is it possible? The BIOS is Phoenix TrustedCore 2.70 and my computer is a Toshiba laptop purchased in autumn 2008.
hmm, have you tested to see if it can boot from usb at all? You could try PLoP http://www.plop.at/en/bootmanager.html which I know supports usb booting.

Edit: CLICK THIS.
That's the -lightest- OmnomIRC client I could possibly make. Works so-so on Opera Mini, not quite as well as I'd like. I'm doing it in a very hackish way to get around the 2 second execution limit, it should update roughly every 5 seconds or so. I can't guarantee it'll work, though. Pretty much any sort of caching trips it up.
That looks good Make sure to get that more public for those who use it Pressing links to go to users profile doesn't seem to work and is there a way to add PMs? Or not really?
Hmm, I'll see what I can do. As far as I knew it should work. What exactly happens? I'm also going to work on adding in a popup showing the userlist when I get to work on it again today. EDIT: Fixed the Channel label in the settings.

That is awesome! Bug report: There are two Scrollback items on the Settings page. Second should probably be called "Channel" or something.
Yeah I noticed that, which is weird, I had renamed it to channel I thought. I'll fix that when I get home in just over an hour.
