Haha, you probably could :P
I myself have installed 98SE on a virtual machine just for kicks once actually :)
I'm right in the middle of converting the virtual machine over to something I can use with VirtualBox so I can test it.

It is pretty epic :P
I've been thinking about trying it out on my laptop, just need to figure out how to get it set up etc :P
Flash drive?

And as a tip, if you want to run Linux from a flash drive, use the old MultibootISOs from PDL. Booting up is a couple dozen times faster if you use it instead of their standard installer for some reason.

They replaced it with YUMI, though, and now it's just as slow as the standard USB installer.
Erm I'm running linux...I was talking about getting the desktop manager....>.>

Yes it will.
Most cpu's are 64bit nowadays but they still support lower architecture.
In windows task manager there ( at least there use to be ) an option that would hide 16bit tasks interestingly enough.

Since 64bit is just twice the size of 32bit, it's pretty easy to work in a 32bit manner :)

Just to let you guys all know, most of the information you need as to what is installed, what it's based off of, and what architecture is on the page I linked to in the first post.
It is 32bit for compatibility with most computers still out there ( and because I can't virtualize a 64 bit on my lappy atm :P )

Yeah you have to log in to download. I will begin mirroring it when I get it to a place where I think it should be usable to everybody
Attached is where the different types of downloads are.
I'm probably going to use Gnome as the desktop manager, and some of the default stuff, but a post notifier sounds great :D
Also I intend to install emulators, compilers etc.
I intend to make this the perfect OS for developing for Omnimaga related projects ( So TI, Casio etc ).
Any suggestions on what software I should install, and maybe some tutorials on how to?

EDIT: DJ the username is Omnimaga and the password is rocks
I still haven't been able to get past the agreement part myself with the flash things so I'm not sure yet. I will be downloading and testing the vmware copy though myself so I'll let you guys know how that goes.

I do plan on adding TI specific stuff tout eventually, but currently it does not have any TI tools.

It's based in SUSE, and you can testrun it for yourself directly in the browser :) So no I dont have any screenshots yet.

I decided we needed a linux build dedicated to Omnimaga, so viola OmnimagaOS
I'm not done with it yet, going to work a lot more on making it more tailored to Omnimaga etc by changing stuff around, but some early testing would be nice :)

Well they are there, but most people don't use them :P
It's built into the download section though, so nothing much we can do about it.

Yeah that seems to be completely the browsers fault.
Nothing we can do to fix that unfortunately.

Split this to a separate topic since it has little to do with the earlier posts of the other topic.
Have you gotten TiLP2 to work before?

A new bug:

When taking a screenshot, turning off the calculator doesn't show any changes. The screen stays the same instead of turning blank.

I believe he already knows about this.
It's tied in to the whole contrast changes doesn't effect the screenshots as well thing I believe.
