xp pwns vista completely. xp pwns 7 by allot. especially startup time (10-15 min with only Norton on startup and performance over speed options.)
No, 7 pwns xp in so many ways, although xp is great. Your error here is using Norton. Norton should be classified as a computer virus in itself, when you install it it's hard to get it's claws out of your system. It took my dad days to fully uninstall it when we changed virus protection to Trend Micro. Ok, back on topic now, no bashing OS's EDIT: although I want to know how you got 10-15 minute startup, mine takes like a minute or two, and I'm on an older system (single core)

I can't believe I didn't notice that this was in the Oasis subforum.
Hey np Xp, mac os x, and linux are taken care of, btw.
well not all forms of linux, it would be great to test it on other setups as well to make sure it still works i can test on XP. i'm not much an assembly person, though. so you'll have to give me instructions on how to test/what to test.
great we will do when we need your help. It will probably just consist of running a few test assemblies, we can provide the files if you want, as well as running it with different flags set.

What are you testing? This is to find out what OS representation we have so we know what OS's we need to put our main effort into having Oasis work on. We aren't near testing yet, but I would like to know if we have people available to help when we do.

We need a windows 7 tester and mac snow leopard tester, too.
I can eventually handle windows 7. Or at least test builds made by others. I might even add support for iPhone OS (jailbroken) so people can work on the run

Mine was part of my programming. I guess that's what I get for being an android... j/k It's short for emo, although stylized a bit. I'm not emo, but for a while I was very scene. Meh, it just kinda took hold and I've been Eeems ever since.

Oh, after this semester is over I can use my calculator (84+ full RAM supplement) all I want I believe for testing. Although I do have Bio next semester, so maybe not. I wont have pure math 30 anymore though. Since I have my own laptop too I shouldn't have any real issues with getting time to use it too. Unless I'm not around my house that much, which I kinda want to be gone more. I need to really develop my real life friends, and it's getting a little harder to be home, way too much time to be stuck in my memories and not moving forwards. Oh, and I would love to get the new Kernel sometime so I can start up on Rogue again
