I finished all parts of the game menu, so...yeah
you can now play around with the contrast, reset the screen, save your game, quit the game, return to the game and look at the current map....
eyecandy screenshot coming right up
meh, now to shift around the event detection in the code, and maybe work on the npc chat a little bit more then maybe start on the maps (which means some work on the map editor...)

well mine just clears the box, or displays the text, the wrapping only wraps letters, not words, but with a few more lines of code I'm sure I could make it work
I played around with the code so that clearing will make a box around the area instead, since I can use Celtic III for the one I'm using for my game, so it works better.
speaking of which, I need to get to work on it....
also, my text wrapper is currently at 265 bytes (the one I am using for my game)...and this is with the change of code for the clearing, and with a few changes to make it work properly

oh yeah I forgot to mention in my first post that this wrapper will correctly wrap lowercase w's and m's (they are once pixel bigger then normal letters) as well as spaces and other smaller symbols

again, an update....I just finished making the in game menu look better, I'll show it to you guys in a screenshot soon, as well as teh npc chat

ok, another update, I finished the npc chat thing so yeah, the game is coming along nicely :)
pretty soon I'll be working on the maps and such

We will miss you. One of the reasons I came to this site was because of the community you built, and how good it was compared to other ones in many ways. I wish you didn't have to leave on these terms.
I have looked up to you as one of the greats who is still working with the TI, but like every great programmer, I guess you will leave too...
well, it's been really good knowing you, thank you for all the help you have given me, even the littlest "wow that looks great" has really kept me going.

hmm, try grouping it or something, test to see if that works, and if that doesn't, try sending it to another calc if you can and see if that works

lol, yes you are right, it is for wrapping text in a box...the only reason I didn't have a box was because I didn't have a way to make the box with the wrapper, and I had made the box a while ago, but hmm, I should do that
how big was your routine? mine is just over 300 bytes

well since I haven't really done much except release this on ticalc, I'll release this here, this is one of my past projects, a text wrapper for the graphscreen
I'll post the code later, and maybe add it to the downloads later, but I just wanted some people to test this and let me know how good they think it is

ok, I finished the event handler, or at least until I add another tile to the tile set...now to make the text program, so that the npc's can talk
EDIT: after a little bit of thought I decided to use an old project of mine for this...it's a text wrap program
