MC, Terraria, Super Hexagon, Reddit, IFTTT, Colloquy (if my memory is correct)...I approve. You should check out Jasmine (YouTube client), Alien Blue (Reddit; I know you already have a client but it's awesome), PCalc (most awesome iOS & Mac calculator EVER), and Notability (now free!). (Also, could you spoiler that?)
Spoilered. Also I tried Alien Blue, but I prefer BaconReader.
BaconReader is great

[Crossposted from forums.thinkingwithportals.com] So yeah. I have a problem with Portal 2. The problem I'm having is this. I recently wanted to try a new concept that I came up with for a test chamber. Designed a test chamber, tried to build. Crash. The dev console pointed me to vbsp, so I looked into the /bin folder for Portal 2 and tried to run vbsp_linux through a terminal. At first, it turned out that the libraries weren't in the right place, so I fixed that. Hoping this would fix it, I tried running vbsp-linux again. By the way, this is the terminal input:
usr@wowsuchpc:~/.local/share/Steam/SteamApps/common/Portal 2/bin$ ./vbsp_linux -entity_limit 1750 -game ../portal2 ../sdk_content/maps/blabla.vmf Had my hopes up for a second as the program didn't output much for half a second, then it crashed. This is the output I got:
Valve Software - vbsp.exe (Jun 4 2014) 1 threads Could not start the empty shader (shaderapiempty)!
...So I looked into the folder vbsp_linux is in. It contains 2 files with that name, one being a .dll and the other being a .so file. I tried renaming the shaderapiempty.so to just 'shaderapiempty'. It did have effect, though not what I hoped. Instead of a "could not start shader" error, I got "segmentation fault". Reverted the namechange. Removing the .dll extension didn't do a thing. So now I'm stuck. I really hope you guys can shed some light on this problem so I can at least get vbsp working.
...Any thoughts?
Contact valve support? I'm not aware of how their internals work so that's the best advice I can give here. If they have documentation on how the internals work there, then you might be able to figure out what is wrong. Another thing I would recommend is to verify your game cache to make sure there are no corrupt files.

And a helpful reminder: in all of these cases, make sure the string always ends in a zero byte before you try to perform any operations like display or length(), or the results could be quite unexpected!
But buffer overflows are fun!
That aside, have you ever thought about writing some advanced documentation on how Axe works at a lower level? I'm sure many people would find the deeper knowledge they could glean from that quite useful.
That sounds like it would take a lot of time and effort, which is probably why I haven't ever thought about doing it. But I tend to leave these mega-posts in lots of question topics, going way more in depth than was asked. Maybe all of my mega-posts could be compiled into some semblance of what you describe.
Somebody should do that

Apparently the way Omni embeds YouTube videos prevents it from using HTML 5 video mode.
I was also suggesting that as a GIF alternative since it's way more compressed and thus easier on bandwidth.
we are using an old API, thus me mentioning that we would have to update our embedding.

The UI is really nice and good to see you got Phoenix working!
And yeah I agree. You might need to use ourl.ca/request, though, since admins only monitor that part.
he's talking about KOS bugs

Instant downloads but requests would take forever.
Download speed depends on the server not the client though. So the possibility of rather rapid downloads, but most likely it would be just as slow as normal.

Ok good to hear. THe only real issue with HTML5 Youtube is that whenever they perform maintenance on their site, if you click the back button in Opera 12 and land on a Youtube video, the browser freezes and sometimes it happens too when they don't do maintenance. Also I don't think every video supports HTML5 yet because some still shows the Flash player.
Sounds like an opera problem. They don't have support for html5 on monetized videos last I remember.

A <video> tag won't run any scripts, just videos? https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTML/Element/video
Unless they are using video based exploit. Youtube supports HTML5 so we could probably switch our embedding scheme to use that (I haven't really looked at how we embed youtube yet). For security reasons we will not be allowing people to embed videos from just any site. If you have a specific reputable site that you'd like us to enable embedding for please let us know with ourl.ca/request.

Well telus optic can provide me a decent set ...snip... the ping isn’t the best
That's a pretty standard speed for Canada. ...snip... Anyone have better internet than advertized by your ISP?
Not anymore at least. We use to have double our speed.

You should provably use the proper link for the iframe. The edit view will not be visible to us.
