I will probably keep the link alive to efnet. Because I primarily use efnet its where all the other irc channels I reside in are located. I also will be maintaining the bot net there. Once I get unlazy and do it. Eggdrop is a pita. (might just use Eeems bot for it Eeems you should teach me socket stuff once I learn JS more )
The link will still be there, just in an unofficial capacity later on. Maybe we can get some of the other channels to move to Omninet as well.
My bot isn't as feature filled as Eggdrop, but it's got a great API and I've got some good plans for it. I'll have to add in an API for bot communication as well.

1: Everyone knows EFnet.
And many people dislike it for multiple reasons
Quote
2: EFnet is very n00b-friendly. It has a built-in webchat on its website.
So does/is Omnimaga.

3: EFnet is one of the easiest places for someone to stumble upon our channel (although this is unlikely, it has happened before).
I'd prefer for people to stumble upon our site and then join our channel after seeing what we are about.

4: People stumbling upon channel = new members = more projects and stuff
Again, I'd prefer for people to stumble upon our site.

News / Omninet 2.0
« on: January 17, 2014, 01:44:02 pm »
Last night I (Eeems) updated and deployed new IRC server for Omninet. Omninet is Omnimaga's personal IRC network. While we currently link Omninet to Efnet via OmnomIRC, we do plan on switching over to Omninet completely in the coming years.

Omninet currently has 4 servers and one service server. They are laid out as shown below:
Code: [Select]
omni.irc.omnimaga.org
|-services.irc.omnimaga.org
`-eeems.irc.omnimaga.org
   |-saphira.irc.omnimaga.org
   `-irp.irc.omnimaga.org

So feel free to connect to irc.omnimaga.org and join us in #omnimaga

A note on the Omninet thing. All chanserv and nickserv data was wiped already across all servers.

General Calculator Help / Re: New CX CAS OS......Worth upgrading?

Second, No I thought the page would change to English because I've experienced this on a foreign language forum,
which actually did change the entire page.........Histwar Les Grognards game site AND it's forum does this.
And you think all blonde girls are stupid because you met one stupid blonde girl. That is called discrimination. More seriously:
  • It is not because one site translates everything that every site should, otherwise, none would translate anything because there is one English website (Omnimaga) so every website would have to be in English.
  • The content on the forums on Histwar Les Grognards are not translated, they are only available in English. Only the buttons and the sentences such as "Welcome, Guest. Please login or register." are available in different languages. On the contrary on TI Planet, the content (which is why you need most, because even Google translate is enough to understand the few words on a button and browse a website) is translated, for most interesting news and tutorials.
  • TI Planet is not a website about a paid game. The people who made Histwar Les Grognards's website were paid to do it, so they did it, and they are going to earn even more money now that everyone can browse their website, while people who made TI Planet translated their content for free.
Look,

Your post sounds more like harassment & you've come across like a jerk.

Who asked for YOUR particular opinion?  Not me.

Thanks but I don't need your "insights"

Stefos
May I also point out that this is the internet, and a forum. You don't have to ask specific people for their opinion to get it.

If you feel like any member is acting inappropriately towards you or any other member instead of lashing out at them on the forum, please press the report to moderator link on the right side of the post and let the admins who run this site (ie: me) deal with this.

Humour and Jokes / Re: Admins change font - why did this happen?
« on: December 04, 2013, 06:05:13 pm »
I assume that this allows you to get the font from an external server, right, not just Omni's? (to avoid copyright problems)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fira_Sans
@font-face doesn't allow for external loading. Fira Sans happens to be under the SIL Open Font License, so all is good.

I probably don't have FiraSans installed by default on my copy of Windows 7.
You wouldn't need it installed, the @font-face declarations in the CSS would tell your browser where to get the font files to use.
