Oh I like it :)

As for image parsing I think he means like on TI-Planet, where if you paste an image URL, it automatically shows the image instead of the link.
Hmm, the problem with that is if people post pr0n.
That is something that is easily done. I'll add it in and make it an option that has to be enabled (so disabled by default).
Indeed, I am not too fond of the idea.

Although people here most likely won't go to such extent, but there is still the issue about large images (in file size and dimensions). Some people don't bother about others who have slow connections or computers and might randomly post pictures of their 3840x2160 wallpapers or ridiculously large animated screenshots.

At least for questionable but tolerated content, we can post a link and warn people that it's NSFW.

Besides, having to scroll even longer to read text above images will be annoying. >.<
How about have the server resize the image before sending it to the client? :D
Storage space issues would make this harder to do. Feel free to request it in https://github.com/Omnimaga/OmnomIRC3/issues/7 though.

I'd make sure to only show thumbnails, so the lots of scrolling wouldn't be an issue. Load times would still be, but that's why it will be disabled by default
That could be a good idea.

Suggestion: make the image thumbnail show up in a tooltip when you hover the link?
That is a possibility. Add it to the feature request on github :)

EDIT: Uploaded a new version with bigger close buttons and a fixed bug with hover intent on the title area (for showing the tabs).

Suggestion: Image parsing, if you can do it, and it's not too stupid an idea
Please elaborate on what you mean by it?

It can get up to 3.9GHz with http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/architecture-and-technology/turbo-boost/turbo-boost-technology.html
From what I understand, it's not just one core.

No it doesn't, i7 Extreme's (often grouped with i7) have 6 cores. Regular i7's are quad cores.
At least, that has been the pattern so far.

Yeah the main difference between i5 and i7 is HyperThreading which is a nifty perf boost for multitasking. ;)
Yep, and for me that is a good thing. It's not quite as good for gaming (Most games run on ~2 threads). Luckily I can just disable hyperthreading if I notice too much of an issue. Even so 3.5GHz (That can go up to 3.9GHz) is more then enough to run all games at their max settings.

I've got to say its been awesome to be able to crank the graphics before I actually start the game. It's quite the liberating feeling.

Is that one of those customizable gaming mice or something? It almost looks like it took a few falls or something and started to fall apart, tho iirc some are supposed to look like that :P

Whole setup looks spiffy anyways.
http://www.cyborggaming.com/prod/rat7.htm My mouse. I quite like it.
Quad core 3.5GHz i7
Wait, wait. Excuse me if I'm wrong, but doesn't i7 stand for 6 core, not 4... If it's quad core, shouldn't that be i5?
http://ark.intel.com/products/65523 4 cores, 8 threads.
Stock cooler? Why?
There are 5 fans in the case and it currently staying at a static 29C. I don't need more cooling than there already is. (And before you ask, yes, it is quiet. Even with all the fans running at once. Super quiet. Almost like it's not even there.)
Hmm, the only i7's I have seen have been 6 core  ???, coincidence maybe?
Probably. The only ones I've seen have 4 cores.

But awesome Eeems!
I bought my computer with my own hard earned tax returns. Err... Well I did work to make the money I payed for taxes in the first place :P

@Eeems by the way have you figured out what is causing the text area to be so small in Opera?
It's Opera? Width is set to 100%. I haven't had time to play around with it since I got my new computer. I'll look into it soon though.

I've done a lot of work on the wireframe. Tabs are now there. Remember that this wireframe will turn into the actual OIRC3 app. Feel free to click on things to see how they act.

EDIT: And here is another one. I've added some subtle animations to make things easier for users to discover for the first time.

Maybe clean the text box after pressing enter? That's some what more convenient.
erm, that is already that way........
It clears the textbox after a send is complete, not on the beginning of a send. Thus when there is lag the textbox stays filled for a couple seconds.

Anywho, here is a wireframe of OmnomIRC3's UI :)
Feel free to critique it.
