Well, you could had explained why the web server should be off a whole hour instead of a small 45-second restart, I dunno. We like technical details 
Also for the EDT folks it's 11:00pm and 8pm for you guys in the Pacific.
I'm not actually sure if it will be down for a whole hour or not  I have no idea how long the upgrade will take. I'm guessing it will take at most an hour though. It's going to be a full kernel update plus there are ~127 other packages that were updated. There is always the chance that updating could be a tad rocky

Under SMF 1.1.18 (What we are one) this will not be possible. We may add something like this in the future. There are plans on an overhaul of the site, but it's eta is unknown as of yet.

Eeems.ca has moved completely off of the omnimaga servers and is now on it's own vps
It now runs off a calculator again?? 
THat said, good idea for the list. Hopefully 57o9 can eventually return or merge with Julosoft so that can be used again as viable hosting for members who used to have hosting on 57o9.
EDIT: Also there is an error on the list: It reports xlib.mtv-music-generator.com/mtv-music-generator.com as offline. However I-lost-the-ga.me actually works pretty fine (warning: if you try it, lower your headphones volume), and mtv-music-generator.com isn't the same site.
xlib.mtv-music-generator.com are not on the list at all, I-lost-the-ga.me is listed as active as well as mtv-music-generator.com.

Actually the ping time listed is not your speed. It's the average ping from the servers used to check to see if our servers are still up.

We now have a Subdomain listing showing the status of all public subdomains and domains in the omnimaga network and who to complain to if something goes wrong with them. Eeems.ca has moved completely off of the omnimaga servers and is now on it's own vps, adding yet another server into the omnimaga network. You can now view the current status of the servers in the omnimaga network (Including the withgusto network) by visiting one of the status pages.

Does it means that OmnomIRC could temporarily move to backup2.withg.org? Also any official info on what caused the downtime yet?

Ah ok thanks for the clarification. By the way, I take it that the server problem only affects Omnom, right? Because Reuben Quest and Illusiat's websites (which are hosted on Sorunome server, which is hosted on the same server as OmnomIRC) still appear to work fine (although they're slow).
backup2.withg.org is different from Sorunomes server afaik. backup2.withg.org is one of Alberts servers and part of the withgusto network. Sorunome doesn't host OmnomIRC on his server because of ping issues.

The fact that there's a Minecrack server on it is probably why OmnomIRC lags so much when there are more than 15 members online at once.
There isn't a server there. It's been closed for a long time now.
