Computer Projects and Ideas / Re: MaoBot

I find Mao a fun game from time to time, but people I played it with tended to think of absurd rules that are beyond average guessing scale >_>

Gaming Discussion / Re: Your best video game pickups.

DKC is nice, played it again last night. I iust picked up some long wanted games in the Steam summer sale: Waves, Nimbus, Sine Mora and Universe Sandbox for a total of €11. Not an epic deal or something, but still nice :)
Also posted this from my Wii U :P

TI-Nspire / Re: Jens' Skript Editor - a on-calc lua editor

This looks really nice. I especially like the not-crashing-on-error part :D This drives me to get back to Lua programming again now that it's portable once more. I hope you stick with the project.

TI-Nspire / Re: Nspire assembly
« on: July 10, 2013, 05:36:53 am »
@Extended thanks for the tips :)
As for the hard/problematic part, that's part of the reason why I want to do it. I like the idea of a challenge and venturing into somewhat unknown areas (though you guys most likely know more about it then I do atm). I'll do my best and see if I can come up with anything and if it all fails horribly then I'll go back to C/C++ :P

I just found the same page and I'm reading through some others now. I can surely say this is going to be an interesting journey, wether I manage to last or not :P

TI-Nspire / Re: Nspire assembly

I know it will take more time and I definitely need to go with C/C++ as well (I'm trying to learn it anyways), but assembly attracts me for some reason :P I like the low-levelness of it.
I'll start working through ARM tutorials then and see what I can figure out :)
[Edit: ] I guess the first thing I should do is update ndless from r685 to r825 :P

TI-Nspire / Nspire assembly
« on: July 09, 2013, 05:49:17 am »
I want to take a dive in the deep and dark depths of the nspire and learn to do stuff with assembly. I figure the way to start would be to learn to work with ndless and C, but for assembly I have no clue where to start or even how.

I had a pc which had a floppydrive, then I got rid of it. Now I regret it :( On topic: Those wall textures look nice, I hope that the bosses won't give you too much of a headache.

Computer Usage and Setup Help / Re: Looking for a desktop computer...
« on: July 05, 2013, 04:10:33 am »
Well Intel HD are not even cards, they're just chips so they won't help you with gaming. Like Streetwalker said, the best you can do is gather parts and build it yourself.

that is not at all true. ivy bridge's hd4000 can handle his mentioned games, and haswell has improved on that performance again, with the high-end iris chips nearly doubling performance. yes, there are plenty of dedicated cards that are much better, but it is no longer true that intel's integrated graphics are "worthless" (and they're a particularly nice choice for linux/bsd/etc users)

as for putting together your own computer, that is definitely the best way to lower prices, but it takes a lot of patience and experience to find the right parts at good prices and make sure everything fits together properly in the end. that's not to say that you shouldn't try =)
I didn't mean to say they were worthless, I have a pc with only the HD4000 and it works like a charm indeed :) I just meant that if you're looking for some serious gaming you'd be better off with a dedicated card than with a chip.

It features image upload...
:o, jokes aside. This is good news, I never used the RFG one and wasn't even that aware that there was an image hosting thing on omni.

RFG will be missed, though, and I hope old RFG images remains online.
They say so in the main post: "The already uploaded pictures will indefinitely stay online, though."

I assume the CSE programs have the same extension as regular ones? Based on that I think a CSE section would be useful to keep things clear.
