TI-Nspire / Re: List of all native Nspire projects
« on: October 28, 2012, 08:05:24 am »
Update:

- The design is more fancy ;D
- Support for Lua files (you can select between all/lua only/ndless only)

btw, my server will shut down on 30.10. and I don't know if I'll rent a new one, so if someone wants to continue and host this I can give out the source code and the db.
I like the new design :D
Aww too bad the server will shut down :( just as it was becoming much nicer than the spreadsheet me and adriweb started :P

Really? Shouldn't you become just a little suspicious when someone wants to buy something that has already been opened?

TI-Nspire / Re: Calling all Linux Kernel developers!
« on: October 28, 2012, 07:20:43 am »
I'm somewhat a Linux noob, so...
How do you start Linux on the new bootloader?
It confused me too first time. You can find the readme here: https://github.com/tangrs/nspire-linux-loader2
First you need the files: initrd.tns, zImage.tns and bootloader2.tns. Put those in a folder and run bootloader. To boot linux, do "kernel <path to zImage.tns>" followed by "initrd <path to initrd.tns>" and finally "boot" (all without the quotes ofc) I also suggest reading the readme, which I did not at first XD

Thank you for reply
can you tell me the reason why ,because i saw a tutorial on tiplanet.org how to do it but were talking about an earlier version of nspire.

thank you for giving  me some clarification
That was some time ago (ndless 2.0 IIRC). There was a program called OSLauncher that allowed users to hotlaunch an OS different from the one they were running, thus being able to run a CAS on a NON-CAS model. I believe there is a 3.1 version of it somewhere , but that fails to launch a CAS OS (?)
Anyway, you will need ndless to perform this action, therefore you'd need OS 3.1. So in the case of OS 3.2 there is no other option than to either downgrade back to 3.1 and try it or wait for ndless 3.2.

[edit] pressed the post button too late :P

Anyone feeling like porting Toledo Nanochess ( http://nanochess.110mb.com/chess3.html ) to the Nspire, with NspireIO and/or nSDL ?
For some reason I read this like nacho nes o.o But yeah that would be nice to have on the nspire :)

Nice, I started something similar a while ago, but for all projects for the nspire. Unfortunately I never had the time to update it. http://ourl.ca/16875
[edit] Had some time, started updating the other list as well but a question rose do we switch to this one or keep both updated?
