TI-Nspire / Re: GDB debugging on HW?

I'm not sure nspire_emu's GDB is much used, neither is OCD. So you wouldn't find a broader audience, but it would indeed be technically interesting

News / Re: Downgrade For Ti-nspire os 3.9 released« on: November 03, 2014, 04:09:13 am »The decision to release a downgrade utility was made to avoid uselessly investing time into an upgrade of Ndless for this OS version which doesn't bring us anything new, and which would require much more effort.Agreed. I was always thinking that if you had a new calculator, you'd have to wait until ndless 3.9 is released. This is such a quick solution that's easily accessible to everyone. Now everyone can enjoy the benefits of ndless!Tbh, everyone was thinking that. We even recently turned down some people who asked for how to downgrade OS 3.9. I might send them a PM to tell them about this. 3

Adriweb, I suppose you are building the toolchain from scratch and not using the Docker image as hgarrereyn tries to.
Also feel free to make a Github pull request for your issues. hgarrereyn: I have just noticed and fixed an issue with Docker's volume permissions (caused by a limitation of Docker). To check if you were concerned: * Check if the command 'id -u' returns 1000 on your VM * If it does, 'git pull' to update your Ndless clone and retry to run the nspire-tools command 4

hgarrereyn, sorry for the late reply.
I double-checked, everything is fine on Linux with the nspire-tools command. The Makefile and main.c should be created in your current folder. I don't know if this is an issue with the Docker setup or the nspire-tools command itself. Most developers are using Linux, some are using Windows, but not MacOS X, so things haven't been thoroughly tested on it, and I can't really troubleshoot myself MacOS X issues... 5

rwill : thanks, I think Vogtinator's SDK fork ( https://github.com/Vogtinator/Ndless/ ) fixed this. It should hopefully be merged back soon.

General Calculator Help / Re: Ti nspire cx touchpad not working« on: March 29, 2014, 03:10:16 am »
There hasn't been any such hw failure report caused by Ndless since it exists.
critor tells me he did saw this once, but unrelated to Ndless. So this is either a very rare crash messing with the hw, or just bad luck. 8

News / Re: Ndless 3.6 becomes reality!« on: March 17, 2014, 02:15:27 pm »
I hope too This new version will focus on getting the TI-Nspire development community back.
If anyone of you is willing to help us build a series of development tutorials covering major domains (console, nSDL, USB, OS hooks, ...), contact me. 11
Humour and Jokes / Re: Nspire OS 4.0 out, blocking Ndless 3.6« on: March 17, 2014, 02:08:51 pm »
DJ: not really longer actually. OS 3.2.0 didn't include a downgrade protection, we choose not to waste effort upgrading Ndless. Things changed with OS 3.2.4, the new calcs being sold with it and the new hardware revision, but this is more recent.

Maybe adding some assert_ndless_rev() would prevent crashes on old Ndless versions?

TI-Nspire / Re: gpSP-Nspire (GBA Emulator)« on: February 26, 2014, 10:41:08 am »
Because making an RS232 connector is not easy for everyone.
USB is ready for a try, it's just that not many people had a try. 14

pc-to-calc, calc-to-pc and calc-to-calc USB transfers are partially supported through the NavNet API. Calc-to-calc USB transfers are not the most stable but are possible.

@DJ Omnimaga: I'm not sure of that, this fortunately hasn't been true in the past.
@nspireguy: no major feature is planned except an slightly easier installation procedure. Is there anything you are excepting in this version? |
