You know that it isn't always to our advantage.

Was the issue directly reported to TI?

And if you just run "./nspire-gcc" from this folder, what happens?

Could you please do the same in the bin/ directory containing the nspire-* scripts?

I still can't get it to work, even after changing permissions. :( I guess installing MSYS and YAGARTO are my only options...

Could just show us what a ls -l outputs in Ndless's bin/ directory to be sure?

There aren't any syscalls for flash writing, but there are OS functions for this.
I have written a diags software writer a while ago but it was quite unstable, I'm not sure why. That's why the functions aren't exported.
You may also have a look at nspire_emu's source code to understand low-level interactions with the flash chip.

I think you need to emulate on an OS with a boot1 for nspire_emu to take into account a boot2 update.

Boot1 is held in ROM, which is currently impossible to modify.
It's actually a NOR chip. I thought some TI-Nspire diags software suggested the boot1 could be updated.

Please take the time to update the tutorial on Hackspire with any additional setup required for your Linux installation: http://hackspire.unsads.com/wiki/index.php/C_and_assembly_development_introduction

What do you mean with "fail"?

The ReadMe file is this one, just follow the instructions and tell us where you get in trouble: http://www.ticalc.org/cgi-bin/zipview?nspire/asm/shells/ndless.zip;ndless-v2.0/src/doc/ReadMe.txt

t0xic_kitt3n: are you able to try the set_cpu_speed() function on Ndless's Subversion repository?

I will gladly integate any contribution provided as source code patches, but I unfortunately can't invest time on enhancing libndls myself.

SolusIpse: it just means they probably won't be any release before v3.0.
