21. Fortunately they left this buffer overflow in the grill function, thanks to it we can play DDR with the buttons.

Ndless / Re: Ndless 1.7 for TI-Nspire« on: November 21, 2010, 04:29:10 pm »I was dedicating my time to the GDB debugging feature of the upcoming release of Ncubate. I will look into the freeze issues of Ndless after the release of Ncubate. I am getting closer to a quite stable version Ndless can be installed at least 3 times out of 4 without any crash. No computer is required during the installation, the theta bug has disappeared, and the program loader is stable. There are still annoying popups displayed by the OS at installation time, but I should soon merge these changes back to the Subversion trunk to let you try them on your calculators. 694
TI-Nspire / Re: TI-Nspire GB Emulator« on: November 17, 2010, 04:43:41 am »Even better - an OS hook to run ROMs directly from the my documents screen. This could be a feature request for Ndless. Ndless already puts an hook on the documents opening. Ndless could manage a map of file extensions (.gb/.gbc in the case of gbc4nspire) to programs, updated by the programs when run from the first time, and pass the file name as an argument to the main() function of the program. 695

ScoutDavid: I tried with hwti quite a long time to find the JTAG pins on the dock connector without success.

The Doc+Enter+EE combo should be the good one, it has been documented by TI.
Agentx002, is 'ON' the last key you press to turn on the calculator when trying the combo? Do you hold the 3 keys during the whole startup? 698
TI-Nspire / Re: Ncubate - nspire_emu enhanced« on: November 14, 2010, 09:36:51 am »
Yes, this is Windows only.
To emulate the TI-Nspire on Linux you will need Xspire, but it doesn't include the improvements brought by Ncubate. 699
General Calculator Help / Re: How to uncrashify a TI-Nspire in 84+ mode (Clickpad, OS 2.0.1)« on: November 11, 2010, 04:06:36 am »
I don't know if the 84+ state is stored in independent files, but perhaps a C program could backup/restore them, delete them or patch them after a crash.
(edit: hm, I didn't read "As said in the topic title, I have OS 2.0.1 on a Regular Clickpad TI-Nspire.") 700

News / Re: Ncubate v.0.32b is out« on: November 08, 2010, 03:39:17 pm »
Yes I would like to integrate it if I find the time to.
But I would need (or need help) to understand what's wrong with the armloader added in the last release when calling file relating syscalls. Any call fails when the loader run it by interrupting the OS. The same calls work when loaded by the Ndless program loader. Some conditions seems to be required to be able to call these syscalls. The broken code is available in this release but unused if anyone wants to have a look. 703
Ndless / Re: Ndless 1.7 for TI-Nspire« on: November 08, 2010, 03:33:36 pm »
shrear,
The elements you need to download and build Ndless 1.7 are available in the first post. The source code is versionned on a Subversion repository, which is the best for all to keep up to date and understand the content of the regular upgrades. You need a Subversion client such as TortoiseSVN as described in the first post. Once installed, create a directory, choose "Checkout" in the right-click menu of Windows, and fill up the URL and account when prompted to. 704

You can code in TI-Nspire basic within the emulator, but currently you will unfortunately not be able to export to the computer the programs written this way.
