By hacked pictures I meant pictures number 11-255. They show up with random tokens as their names in the memory menu.
For example, Pic11 would be GDB1. You can use hacked pics with xLib and Celtic III, but currently they can only be stored without the 64th row. If Axe supported the ability to write to (or read) hacked pics, you can then use the full pic to store tiles and sprites, which would be extremely useful.

Yeah, storing hacked pics would be amazingly useful, especially if we could get them to store the 64th row. That would make Pokemon TI's tile data a heck of a lot smaller.

Ok. Yeah, I've been meaning to export most of the data in that program, so this is pretty good motivation to do so.

Don't be a sad Raylin. Of course you'll be in the credits, too; along with others like nemo and Magic Banana.

I still feel like that text is a bit hard to read...
That may just be me getting old...
It does look clearer on calc in my opinion.
perfect!  I'll load this to my bro's calc on 9/16 and say its his present.  :P  His bday is 9/16.  and of course, I'll tell him who made it.  ;)
I have to reconstruct my battle engine, of course. But after all that, I'd consider that an honor to be recognized like that. Don't forget you'd be in the credits too, though. ;)

I'm not exactly sure what happened, but today my Axe back-up of ABATTEST (my Nostalgia battle engine) was corrupted. The source was fine until you reached the casting animation sub, then between that and the enemy's damage sub was replaced with a copy of the data I had defined at the beginning of my program.

The only apps I have installed on my calc are Celtic III, CalcUtil and Axe (v0.4.4 with Auto-Backup on). I tried to compile ABATTEST after adding the magic damage sub-routine, but I received some ERR:LABEL's saying Lbl AHP (which was defined) didn't exist, so I uninstalled CalcUtil and unarchived ABATTEST. After I used the Instant Goto to jump to the error twice, both times the line was mostly replaced by random, commented out hex code. I rearchived ABATTEST, RAM Cleared, then reinstalled a 3 apps above. Upon trying to compile ABATTEST again, the first pass reached 100%, will the second pass reached 99% before erring. After that, I unarchived ABATTEST and uninstalled CalcUtil and used Instant Goto to jump to the source of the error. I was puzzled when I jumped to the enemy damage sub to see that it was the end of the program. I was even more confused to scroll up and see my data that I defined at the beginning of ABATTEST. I exited out and opened it up again, and I scrolled down from the top to see my data, then I began to see my normal code, then when I reached the casting animation, I noticed the commented line ".Aria Casting Animation" read something like ".Aria Casting AnimaList>matr(NOSBAT" after that was the copied data and the enemy damage sub.

I haven't had any problems with these apps before except that if CalcUtil is installed, when you use Instant Goto and exit the program, CalcUtil will crash after the save changes screen.

If it's within the contest rules, I can email or PM you the corrupted back-up.

The work isn't that bad. In fact, a lot of what I lost was based on the original HP drawing sub, which I've almost reconstructed. :)

I've also managed to mock-up the status screen. ;D What do you guys think?

Well, I have some bad news.  :'( My Axe backup of ABATTEST (the battle engine) was mysteriously corrupted today. The code is perfectly intact until the casting animation subroutine, then it replaces everything between it and the enemy's damage formula with a copy of the data I defined at the beginning of ABATTEST.

I should be able to recreate the sub-routines, as I'm estimating I only lost 5-6 and most of them were animations. The only core things I lost were drawing stats and numbers.

I think I can fix it, given I have a 3-day weekend now and that I don't have a full week of school in September; I'm just not sure how much this sets me back.

Edit: A glimmer of hope shines! I found a back-up on my computer I forgot I had that is really only lacking the stats! I hope to have the stats fixed by tonight, but we'll see.
