Well that, and everything else text related involving the custom font. I've also got a seperate routine for numbers.

550. You use your computer to emulate a TI-84+SE, and use the emulated calc to emulate a Gameboy
Yep. I've done it.

I was thinking more along the lines of the  border used for the title screen in this post.

Edit: What I meant by the top and bottom border size isn't necessarily that you need to have the bold lines, but that they can't be larger than the 2 rows.

Thanks! It looks better than what I would have come up with.

I have been working on the text routine recently, and I realized I need a border for when I display the text in conversations.
I'm looking for a border styled after an old scroll. The top and bottom can't be more than 2 pixels tall (see bold lines in attached pic). The right and left sides can be as thick as you see fit.
I'd also like to request an 8x8 cursor styled like a quill. This would be displayed in the lower corner of the text box during a conversation to signify a page break.

I managed to finish the text routine for the most part! I just need to do a little debugging with 'page breaks', but line breaks and ending a string work. I also converted the main battle menu from a bitmap to be drawn and then typed out with the text routine.

I could go for it if it wasn't required to save data, like a PSP's memory stick.

Sounds good to me. It'd probably be simpler to add to and update.

I haven't gotten to him yet because I only play the game on and off, I just thought the song was funny.

Would I just copy it to a saferam area or appvar, and then use a pointer to that location in place of the static pointer you'd normally use?

Is this supposed to happen?

Regardless of whether they draw to the screen or the bufffer, bitmaps glitch up in apps, even if they work flawlessly in programs. Is there any way around this, or do I need to reorganize my sprite data?
