Looks nice! not gonna lie when i saw "portal update" and instantly thought about portal 2..
Hehe, that said eventually there will be a calc Portal release, though. :P

Also has anyone paid attention to text near the end of the history section, right before the big set of site banners?
Do you mean the bit about how the 10th anniversary would happen September 1st of this year? Cuz I noticed that. ;D

Nostalgia / Re: Nostalgia - People and Places
« on: April 26, 2011, 07:45:44 pm »
Thanks. I'll probably be adding two more characters sometime soon.
They are:
Alvar Tenshido - Arc's older brother. He was the king's most trusted officer and died in battle before Frey's takeover.
Leon 'Leo' Tenshido - Alvar's son, whom Arc raised after Alvar's death. He ran away 2 years before the events of Nostalgia.
Characters added. Also, name of eastern province slightly changed, due to the fact I accidentally named it with the same name as the setting of the first Ys game: Esteria.

That's an insane price!
Imagine if it was Apple software, though...

The cost couldn't go much higher though it is already >9000.

What is the use of this software?
True, the price might not go much higher, but the software could be much more limited.

I'm still working on the NPC thing, trying to figure out how I want to store the text.
I'm also working on something that'll remain secret for now, I wanna surprise you guys with it. I will say it will hopefully enhance the environment in the game, as well as adding something to battles.

Feel free to use symbols from my character set there. I'm sure many of them could be improved anyway though...
Thanks, I probably will, as some of those chars look pretty good.

Edit: Finished my additions. You don't have to use all of them, and most of the sheet is ZippyDee's stuff, as I thought it was really good.

I unfortunately left my calculator home today when we went out, so I can't work on the font right now.
I did do more than the letters and numbers, I actually have a good few symbols done, but I don't have all the characters in the set done yet.

Here's a sample of the font I made to use with zStart. I know some of them are 5x6, but I can easily change that, I just wanted to see what you guys thought.

This sounds pretty sweet! I can't wait to test it on my Droid.

Yeah true too. If you make a Mario clone it's best that you offer features others don't have, such as a feather/cape, which Project M and Super Mario 1.2 currently lacks, the frog, Racoon Mario. Heck, maybe inspire yourself from Super Mario 64 and use the power up ideas from there.
You could also draw some ideas from Super Mario Bros. 2, like pulling up stuff to throw. I've only seen one attempt at an SMB2 port, and it's not being worked on right now.

Very good game.  ;)  Try it now.
O and P to attack, I for shield thingy, U for grabs and stuff.
WASD to move.

I recommend Ichigo for character, he pwns.  :D

Note: it takes a while to load at first, but after you plaay it for the first time, it take about 5 secs.
Ichigo does totally destroy everything. I once took out 3 level 9 Ichigos as Ichigo. It was fun.

SSF2 is pretty awesome isn't it? I been following its progress for a while now.

TI-Boy SE - Game Boy Emulator For TI-83+SE/84 / Re: Game Compatibility

From my testing, Final Fantasy Legend 1 and 2 seem to work, and I haven't gotten around to testing 3 yet.
I had the same issues that Darl had with Final Fantasy Adventure.

The Pokemon Trading Card Game and Pokemon Yellow work, though.

Glad to see this is being picked up again.

I would like to contribute, but I'm not quite a super-optimizer, so I might not be the best candidate.

Funny coincidence, though. The font in your screenie is identical to the one I made for myself to use with zStart.

Ah ok that's a good idea. Just watch out for nethams.

;) they tend to lurk in the 15ft deep part of the pool -- fortunately they're easy to spot :D

but, the pool I'm learning at has a 21ft deep diving well O.O my regular pool has an average one that's 8 feet -- thats 2.5x deeper than I'm used to!  And we have to go to the bottom and pick 20 lb bricks from the bottom, and with no goggles, and it's very hard to see down there due to bad lighting and it being so deep!  I'ma  great swimmer who competes at states and even I am very scared going to the bottom of the pool x.x

Just kinda reminds me of the marina trench with lava beds in the water and sea worms 10 ft thick waving around from cracks, along with other horrific monsters...

I HATE deep water :(  especially that deep.

other than that, good class ^-^

21 feet! When I took my BSA Lifeguard certification class, our pool only went down to 9 feet, and our community pools only go down to 10. So, wow. I can't even imagine how bad the bottom is, and I usually don't mind the bottom of pools.
