Would the game of life be possible?  (Conway's)
Or perhaps a simulation of Langton's Ant?

Nostalgia / Re: Nostalgia - An Axe RPG
« on: March 19, 2011, 10:35:27 am »
Just wanted to say I'm still working on this.
I'm just wrestling with the map editor right now, because there seem to be some offset issues with either saving or loading.
I do have the tile editor finished and implemented on the plus side.

That's odd. I've set it several times, and in between I set another pic from online... Why is it not working?

Weird. I don't think it's a problem on my side... Perhaps your cache isn't updating with the pic? I believe in the joke thread SirCmpwn made about community moderation, it took some people (myself included) a while to view his new avatar. I believe I had to clear my cache, but I might be wrong.

Looks more like an old Pokemon anime guy to me.
I just changed it not to long ago. Try refreshing a few times maybe?

Mine is now Remilia Scarlet, one of my favorite Touhou characters. ;D

The Axe Parser Project / Re: Credit

I agree with this. Quigibo works really hard to make Axe great, and some people don't seem to mention it at all.
Honestly, I can't overstate how great Axe has been for me. Without it, some of my projects, such as Nostalgia, might never have existed, because not only did Axe give me the power to make it, but it also kinda inspired it, since it bridged the gap between BASIC and ASM.

I remember that LEGO game. It was fun. This looks pretty cool too.
The 2nd-x2 keys would work fairly well.

If the world ends in 2012, I will survive and rule the scattered remnants of humanity with an iron fist! Mwahahaha...

I mean, I will sneak into whatever is left of TI's development lab and steal the Nspire keys.
But then you'd have to spend the rest of your life on a time machine to bring them back to this time period so that they'd be useful.
Unless TI is gonna destroy the world, then you couldn't get the keys...

Personally I try to not worry too much about the future, although I am fairly sure no matter what that 2012 will have quite a lot of bad events. I can only think of what happens in muslim countries right now with civil wars and flooding.
I feel the same way. I don't believe that the world will end in 2012 for whatever reason, be it the Mayan calendar or the Second Coming, etc. If it does, what's the point in worrying? It's not like we could prevent it if it's gonna happen, so just enjoy the present.

TI-Boy SE - Game Boy Emulator For TI-83+SE/84 / Re: TI-Boy SE
« on: March 16, 2011, 06:59:38 pm »
@calc84. No, no that time.
What I was talking about was: to upgrade sickle, you have to give it to harvest sprite and wait for 24 REAL HOURS.
(turning off gameboy and wait for a real day)
I believe the GSC Pokemon games had something similar (full-time clock, even when the GBC is off) and that it relies on external hardware.

Extremely well said, Ashbad.  DJ, I agree with everything he said, especially that if you re-post the files, you'll prove to them that you're stronger than your bashers.  I will stand by you with whatever you decide, though.
I have to agree as well. Plus, your files are a great part of TI-BASIC gaming history. Without them, it wouldn't be the same.

they're not gbc, those are gb roms. Gold and silver have this too. The carts have 2 roms on them, and one runs if it's in a reg game boy (the .gb one) and the other if it's a gbc. There are sometimes major differences, but not usually. Rippers often just post both separately.

And yes, they *should* work on ti-boy, if they aren't unplayable.
Unfortunately, I think Crystal is GBC only and I don't have an nSpire. *cries*

So, anyone pick this up yet? I've almost finished the Crystal/Gold/Silver Chapter, and I have to say it's pretty good so far. If only the games were this good...
