Humour and Jokes / Re: OS 2.71 Released
« on: March 31, 2011, 08:49:30 pm »
So maybe it was the one uncorrupted developer who did it in his/her spare time, and then had to pull it down because 2.56MP isn't done yet? Maybe they have to wait to put it up until after 2.56MP? Who knows? Maybe someone tried to check it in for review and accidentally uploaded it to the site instead.

1480: You somehow started doing math in binary and didn't notice until you did -1 mod 96 and got 63.

TI Z80 / Re: Sybolic Expressions

Problem is, this has to be able to do complex coefficents, otherwise there's no point. (There's an App for that)

Problem with ndegree poly solvers is that above quartics, not all of them are solvable. I can't even find the equations to solve a quartic. In a similar vein, if I remember correcly, indefinite integrals only work for specific kinds of functions, and the math changes with each kind.

TI Z80 / Symbolic Expressions
« on: March 31, 2011, 05:19:24 pm »
I have a series of Basic programs that I made on my calc that allow me to (sort of) deal with symbolic expressions. Here's what I have so far:
Polynomial mult/divide
Fraction rationalization
Prettyprint auto-simplified quadratic solver
Root simplifier (sqrt(20) becomes 2sqrt(5), but it works for any root)
A prog that finds all rational roots of a number (and their powers)
And a bunch more (I think)
Anything else I should make?

I asked my dad (who was around back then) and an EP was 7" and held 4 songs, 2 on each side. An LP was 12", and held 10-12 songs, half on each side.
