I like having External levels only, because then I don't have to have all that free ram.
I keep hundreds of files on my calc, and my VAT is a gigantic monstrosity.
I can't run Dimension Shift, (why is that thing so big anyway) my VAT is too big. I am a huge proponent of external levels.

Is writeback provided by a shell or is it a flag somewhere that the OS uses?

Hi i just downloaded Axe 1.0.4 and wanted to compile a code i made with 1.0.2 into an app.
After backupping an unknown error appears :
A429958

If you close it the app still works normally
You might want to try with the new 1.0.5b that Quigibo just released today.
Gah, another new Axe :P

Nymless again.
To do a quicksave, I create the appvar NYMSAVE and then copy L3 to it, followed by all the predefined AxeVars (I have yet to code in saving for the three extra vars).
Unfortunately, something goes REALLY screwy with r3, which points to the start of the data for the mines. when you load form that save (copying the beginning to L3 and the rest to oA) all the mines are rotated 90 degrees to the left!

I'm using Horizontal to move the screen off to the right in an animation.

The source for MINEDIT is attached.

Well, lookit that.
Also, I just downloaded 1.0.4 and the first thing I did was to try compiling LVEDIT

COMPILING...
1st pass 58%
ERROR:
UNKNOWN ERROR
Code: A429992

LVEDIT was archived, so I don't know what it erred on.

EDIT: I UnArchived it, and it compiled fine.

Got the same error at 5% with Minedit. Say, is this 1.0.4's version of BAD FLASH?

Also, MINER is experiencing a really bad bug that, as far as I can tell (which is not very far) seems to result from {Q+L1} erroneously returning a 1 instead of a zero, which is really odd, because if that is indeed what is happening, then it's only doing so in one loop, and not doing so in a later loop.

Also, holy crap! Quigibo, what did you do? Horizontal is waaay faster now!

Hey, this is fantastic. I tried to make a couple levels, but there's two things: I don't like how I have to go into three different programs to edit levels, you might want to make a menu screen interface type deal, really simple, saying like, do you want to edit the shimmery stuff, the mines, or the land and other stuff? It would be really easy. Also, in the mines editor, I either placed all the mines in the top left corner, or only placed like two or three but couldn't delete them properly. You might want to make it so you can't have two mines in the exact same space.
When It's all done, everything will be accessible from a main menu. I have a semi-functioning version of the main menu coded and compiled, but there are some rather big issues to work out.

Also, the default starting position for the mines is in the top left corner, but there seems to be some sort of random glitch in the compiled program. Try recompiling the source, and if that doesn't work, try recompiling it in Axe 0.5.3

Oh, hey, look a new Nymless!
Now with new Features!
When you die, press Graph to start over.
If you feel like dying, press 0 and (-) at the same time.
Press LOG for fourscale (beware, an Axe bug freezes the fourscale scanlines for an inderminate amount of time)
LN for threescale (no bugs here)
STO> For twoscale (b/w)

New Program:
LVPREP
 (source: NYMPREP)
clears way for you to load a new level

Also, I made a lot more levels for y'all.
Have fun!

I thought bosses were supposed to be fought with the catgirl launcher?

Lol, of course!  But until you know the cheat code, you don't have a catgirl launcher.  So you have to settle for the other weapons instead
Ah ok.
Also, I offer up my services as a beta tester.
