News / Re: April Fools Day« on: April 02, 2010, 06:54:16 am »
Internet is not safe in April Fools Day...
This Year it was a different one for me. Instead of listening to radio fake news, I saw fake news in Omnimaga, Wikipedia and Wikinews. I loved the Wikipedia one. 483
Other Calc-Related Projects and Ideas / Re: TI-83/84 emu for TI-Nspire/CAS - video in action« on: April 02, 2010, 06:50:25 am »
Wow, when it gets stable I will have a nice TI-84+SE emulator in my CAS!
Awesome speed. 484
ASM / Re: SPASM Macros« on: April 02, 2010, 06:49:15 am »
Finally I decided to pack all the macros I worked on. It is not finished, though... But it has cool macros like the ones above.

News / Re: TI sends DMCA takedown notice to Omnimaga for Key Font usage« on: April 02, 2010, 06:45:21 am »Netham has the TI keys... Wait TI went back in that.Well, maybe TI will send a dmca notice to Netham45 for using monochrome colors like on their old calcs When the parody is officially ended? EDIT: ah, I saw the new topics. 486

Spanish seems the language with better spelling-pronunciation relation. It seems very consistent. But it is just I don't know very in depth Spanish.

Humour and Jokes / Re: La Roman de Chevalerie de Mâyâ: Avec le Rêve Èternel de Memoria (TI NSpire)« on: April 01, 2010, 08:20:43 am »
Wow beautiful screen. A RPG like that for the Nspire will seem long wait I think.
Nspire screen is 320x240 and has 16 levels of grayscale for anyone willing to design graphics for it. (or something else ^^) 488

One time pad is really impossible to crack if you used a real random number and the pad is not compromised.
Well the computer power to brute force all possible random generators is unimaginable. To achieve true random numbers as far we know, there is hardware than gives a random number by watching strange physics events that from our current knowledge are random. To anyone willing to understand what one pad is, search in the wikipedia... 489
News / Re: TI sends DMCA takedown notice to Omnimaga for Key Font usage« on: April 01, 2010, 04:00:11 am »This is sure full of fail, especially the grammar and errors. Just how they missed half of the images tells enough. I guess TI had this written by a random employee or something, using the key factoring DMCA notice and modifying it. It reminds me also when TI continued to send DMCA notices despite the EFF countering them. I wonder if we decided to host the keys if TI wouldn't decide to send another notice to us even if the whole thing was solved half a year ago?Or maybe because it was one of the Omnimaga Staff doing that. Or maybe some TI staff read what they write like what they code. When will you admit is April Fools? ticalc has a a nice fake news. EDIT: Maxcoderz use the TI font too and hasn't received any notice. Although there aren't any regular posts there. 490
Humour and Jokes / Re: Wow look at this manga pic I found!! :O« on: March 30, 2010, 05:31:19 pm »This is real, actually. Ichirō Ōkouchi, author of the manga adaption of Code Geass, made a short April Fools extra chapter wherein Lelouch uses his Geass power to make everybody believe that Suzaku is actually English singing sensation Rick Astley. Suzaku then proceeds to rickroll everybody. That is stupid. He can only use Geass one time in a person and without it he would die somewhere in the story because he used Suzaku. 491
TI Z80 / Re: Someone should revive the Online Hex Disassembler...« on: March 30, 2010, 05:20:24 pm »Nice, it runs so much faster ^^. I was wondering at first why you didn't put it in the root directory then I read the final sentence. It also appears to work pretty well. Nice jobRuns faster than the original hex disassembler? Nice... Most of the time it takes is uploading to the server. It unsquishes almost instantly, just 0.00131512 seconds for 21KB assembly file. I updated the unsquisher.php to fix a small bug. It wrongly unsquished 2 bytes more than it should. But it has no repercussion in your calc other than wasting 4 bytes. And I cleaned the source code with my current PHP experience. Not worth writing the changes. 492
Miscellaneous / Re: Rubik's Cube« on: March 30, 2010, 05:09:27 pm »I can solve the Rubik's Cube! I'm not very fast though. My best times are usually about 60 seconds, I have a friend who can do it in half that! There's also a lot of cool patterns you can make. Its fairly easy to make the cube checkered with only 3 turns and you can make it have dots in only 4 turns from the solved position. You can also have multiple cubes in the same cube and bands of color in a spiral.Keeping the Rubik in some cool pattern is more cool than it solved. 493
Site Feedback and Questions / Re: Google search ranking up?« on: March 30, 2010, 05:00:39 pm »
Good rankings. Axe Parser is the 2nd in Google. The 1st one is curious.
I tend to see always the first page of Google results. Rarely I go to the 2nd or 3rd one. Only when I am desperate I go further. Be the first in TI-83 Plus RPG was a nice mark. 494
Site Feedback and Questions / Re: Translation of the rules« on: March 30, 2010, 11:39:25 am »
Funny, I was doing some PHP things and noticed that most web scripts don't support multi language sites. (forums, CMS, blogs, etc..)
But SMF seems to support from what DJ said. I think it is simpler to leave the rules in a sticky post in the subforum. 495
Site Feedback and Questions / Re: Translation of the rules« on: March 30, 2010, 09:24:05 am »
If we going to have international subforums, some translations are useful.
Count me in for a translation you need that I can do. I sometimes wish that appeared some English translation contest in my school. This maybe be a detail for forums rules but I see in lots of serious licenses and general agreements that state the original English version is the only with legal purposes. The translation is only available for user friendliness. |
