TI-Nspire / Re: Just one more idea for the NSpire
« on: March 06, 2011, 02:50:05 pm »
I think this is theoretically possible, by modifying /ti84/84ram.bin or whatever it's stored in. But can't you just use the same USB cable you use to send .tns documents, to send directly to the 84+ emulator?

Apparently not with TI-Connect. :(

Get TiLP and use a standard USB cable to send to the emulator.

I'll try this out. I never really got TiLP working before but I'll try it again.

TI-Nspire / Just one more idea for the NSpire
« on: March 05, 2011, 11:22:22 am »
I've been nurturing this idea for a while but is it possible to load a file.8xp.tns file onto the nSpire, then have a program run that will have it load to the 84 emu? As long as the physical memory where the info is stored isn't in the keypad itself then it shouldn't be a problem. (Unless you were to switch the keypads while the program is running). I don't have a graph-link and I can't get a hold of one anywhere (unless I borrow one from my teacher which is a pain to say the least) so this would make loading programs to my 84 emu much easier.

Oh my f*cking god, you must be like, the messiah of the calc community. :P

I have a few questions/suggestions.

1. Are you going to have a repository like github for easy sharing of apps and programs?

and 2. Is there going to be an on calc IDE and compiler?

I am definitely getting this!

So brute forcing it like I was trying to do won't work then. :D

Other Calculators / Re: How did your program or game get its name?
« on: March 04, 2011, 09:15:47 pm »
Evil Prgm - Because I felt totally evil in actually writing this program.

Daemons - I wanted a name that would give the concept of the game with out using the name Pokemon. I had read and loved daniel Suarez's Daemon so I used the name.

Ninja Gaiden - Cmon, most if not all of you have at least heard of this game. :P

Formula for finding prime numbers.

(k + 2)(1 −
[wz + h + j − q]2 −
[(gk + 2g + k + 1)(h + j) + h − z]2 −
[16(k + 1)3(k + 2)(n + 1)2 + 1 − f2]2 −
[2n + p + q + z − e]2 −
[e3(e + 2)(a + 1)2 + 1 − o2]2 −
[(a2 − 1)y2 + 1 − x2]2 −
[16r2y4(a2 − 1) + 1 − u2]2 −
[n + l + v − y]2 −
[(a2 − 1)l2 + 1 − m2]2 −
[ai + k + 1 − l − i]2 −
[((a + u2(u2 − a))2 − 1)(n + 4dy)2 + 1 − (x + cu)2]2 −
[p + l(a − n − 1) + b(2an + 2a − n2 − 2n − 2) − m]2 −
[q + y(a − p − 1) + s(2ap + 2a − p2 − 2p − 2) − x]2 −
[z + pl(a − p) + t(2ap − p2 − 1) − pm]2)

Strangely enough I made a program on calc and computer that use this formula but I never got it to work. :(

Miscellaneous / Re: How did you find Omnimaga?
« on: March 04, 2011, 07:36:58 pm »
I was looking for nSpire games. I chanced upon ndless (AFTER I already upgraded to OS 2.0) I found Omni trying to find OS 1.01.

TI-BASIC / Re: Zeda's Hex Codes

How do you mean? Do you mean start drawing a picture from the coordinate? I might be able to come up with one...

Yes that's exactly what I mean. I'm still messing around in BASIC so that would be a very fast way to do sprites.

Math and Science / Would this be possible?
« on: March 03, 2011, 05:07:05 pm »
Since the nSpire is able to handle 3d games like nDOOM easily, I was wondering if it would be possible to create a 3d graphing program. Also, with raycasting, could it even be turnable to view from different angles.

Is there an opcode that would take a two element list in ans and put say, pic1 in that location on the screen?

nDoom / Re: Post nDoom bug reports here.

New bug report under Ndless 2.0 beta (OS 2.0.1): Game freezes if you shoot while moving.

On the same OS I found that it only freezes if you are moving forward. Backwards, strafing, and turning are all fine.
