Wow, I need to get my friend in here! His average time is about 15 seconds (REALLY! I've seen him do it). He uses some algorithm and a high quality cube that he lubricated. His fastest time ever was about 5 seconds. (The official world record holder is about 7!)

TI Z80 / Re: Rule and Conquer: My Game In Progress« on: October 22, 2010, 11:48:53 pm »Risk 2210 AD has a five turn maximum. The expected play time is 240 minutes or 4 hours lol, regular risk can sometimes take this long with as few turns. This game looks interesting. I love RTS's! 2019

This sorts of makes me wish the calc had sound capabilities. Then we could add that awesome song to the game. I love this game, I can't wait to get it!

Computer Usage and Setup Help / Re: Pentium II, Linux...hmmm...« on: October 21, 2010, 03:44:22 pm »It's less about the distro than it is about what window environmet (Gnome, XFCE, KDE, etc.) that determines how fast it will run. If it's just going to be command-line like you say, you could run just about anything, but distros like ubuntu with easy install always come with a Desktop. My recommendation? #$%* Small linux, as it can run pretty much any computer decently. I had it running on a 200 Mhz PC once, and it didn't lag at all, even with a desktop environment running. You also don't need to use any hard drive space if you have at least 128 MB of RAM, boot off USB, copy OS to ram, remove USB drive and you're running a standalone, driveless desktop! I used to use this off my flash! It's simple but I actually used it instead of Windows at school! 2022

You know, on xbox there is a sniper simulator that could give you some nice ideas for the game. Such as notches and various distances. Just look it up in the indie section and try out the demo.
