Miscellaneous / Re: The Omnimaga Project Revival Team
« on: August 21, 2014, 02:44:29 pm »
I'd be interested for helping with any computer projects. I still don't know enough about calc programming to assist for calc projects, but I can definitely help for projects written in C/C++, Java, or Python.

6994: You find learning ASM was easier than learning Axe
???
I am not saying that Axe is easier then Asm (even though I think it is the case), but at least, I think that learning Asm first makes it a lot easier to understand Axe, no ? So if you already learnt Asm, what's hard in Axe ?

Honestly, for me it was the real lack of a good tutorial. Thinks like how to implement arrays and such aren't covered very well. Sure there's the reference for commands, but when I was attempting Axe there was no real indepth tutorial. ASM, on the other hand, had ASM in 28 Days and Hotdog's tutorial. Both are excellent.

6983: You kick back in to Omni and head to this thread first
6984: You are dismayed we have not reached 9001 reasons in my absence
6985: You are, however, impressed 10 pages of posts have been filled in said absence
6986: You always post signs in batches
6987: You remember when I posted 100 signs at once
6988: You notice new members you have not yet met
6989: You're happy when an old thread of yours gets revived
6990: You enjoy the social aspect of Omnimaga as well as the friends you've made here
6991: You still desperately want to increase popularity with computer programming here
6992: You wonder whatever happened to OPIA
6993: You consider finally learning Axe Parser (now that I know much more about computer programming overall)
6994: You find learning ASM was easier than learning Axe
6995: You recall never learning Grammer either...
6996: Whenever you meet someone foreign, you think of Omni members from where the foreigner is from
6997: You often wonder when this thread will hit 9001 signs
6998: You are impressed this thread has not ended up dying
6999: You are glad because you are pretty sure you have not repeated any stuffs in here. Because we do so. A lot.
7000: You post large batches of signs just to reach specific numbers
7001: Only 2000 more to go :3

The program can't start because smfl-system-2.dll is missing from your computer.

You must have clicked the Fixed link, which is just the exe. Download the one under the Windows link, it has all the dll's and resources.

It's every 4 months, so the next one should be in August. You can always subscribe to their mailing list and get updates that way.

Humour and Jokes / Re: Is your son a computer hacker?

There's a Wikipedia artice about Adequacy.org; the site was started by some Slashdot trolls. I just read through a fair bit of their stuff and some of it's golden (like this article). This article was one of the few things on the internet to truly make me laugh out loud. :D

Actually that article is a satire of what the website was about: Serious discussions on the world's most important matters. People who say this is satire don't know what satire is about.

Given that the website is filled with articles like these, I'm pretty sure the entire site is satire. :P

Luckily, I use Nvidia, I'm safe from being a hacker :D

Oh my, I had no idea I am such a negative influence being an unregulated programmer, though. D:

I would never pass another mathematics course again

What if we linked our calcs to create a giant neural network?

... Actually.... Kerm lets modify CALCnet and make this happen >:D
