1GB of ram I really hope they increase that. How do you aquire games for it? Via the internet or on disks/cartridges in stores?
From what I understand so far, it would be via the internet. I would assume that you could also have games and apps available from a computer or external storage.

I don't know, there's quite a developer community already forming around it, including developers like Mojang. The kickstarter was actually announced yesterday, I learned, so I don't think the hardware is set in stone just yet. Beyond that, they're not really looking towards competing with modern consoles, but allowing developers to create games for consoles easier, without having to purchase licenses and SDK's. Also note that games are tied to the store and can ONLY be sold through there Since any software could be deployed from the computer, there could be alternate online services that could distribute games. Also, all games are "Free to Play" as they put it, games may either offer a free demo, or entirely be free with additional content one could purchase.

I found this earlier today. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/ouya/ouya-a-new-kind-of-video-game-consoleWhat it basically is, is a high end console that allows for anyone to develop for it. It is completely open to hacking, modding, development, and it even gives individuals the ability to make money from their work. The kickstarter started about two days ago, and within 7 hours they met their goal of $975,000... Now they're at $3,985,822 as of this posting. It certainly is a promising console. I wonder if an option could be that a member could only post in spam if it is below a certain percentage of his total posts. That way, it would force the overall board to have more quality posts. Though I'd think that would require a mod or something.
