Zelda GS Demo <-------------------------- That is a good example that exudes excellence with smooth scrolling grayscale graphics with everyone's favorite game!! EDIT: Another thing is that MS paint has a good b/w converter that I use all the time. Well its a pseudo converter cause you just save the file as a monochrome bitmap and it auto converts it and does a damn good job of it too EDIT: I took the liberty of converting them so here are the comparisons As you can see they still look good in b/w

Yes OpenGL is fairly easier compared to DirectX though I think although it can get a little complicated cause if you want to make real games you are going to need meshes which you could create in Blender3D or Gmax(the free 3DS max) or if you feel like paying $600 then get Maya or 3DS max. But anyways it would be fairly easy to make a Space Dementia type game with OpenGL.
@xlibman: Yes I am doing HTML format but forum format hmm idk that would take some serious work to make it look *GOOD* in forum format.

http://psugen.freehostia.com/tutorials.phpURL to the tutorial table of contents. That link holds all the contents of the tutorial. After I am done with writing all of them into my computer(like 1 or 2 weeks) then I will begin writing my C++ tutorials. After that I will continue with writing my ASM tutorials. After that then I will be done. I would like to know if there are any tutorials you guys may want to see in the future like Ruby, Pascal, BASIC, something like that. Or maybe some OpenGL or DirectX tutorials(hint hint)

I basically have this all written down in my notebook. Many study halls many... Anyways yeah so I am thinking of converting them to HTML with color-coding and everything. Anyone looking forward to this? It's about 100 pages I'm estimating. Once again many study halls and some help from some friends..... haha
One question. Where do I get something that can take a screenshot of CMD so I can take pictures of all of the sample programs.

Update: If you want to die then download GCC compiler source.*cough* 16794 files almost 2000 lines in each*cough*
Update: Anyways the reason I changed from C to TI-83+ to C to z80 processors is because it should be fairly easy to make it compile for 82,83,84,and 86

Yeah I talked to Kevin about all your suggestions and he told me that bison and flex are not neccesary. He said all I need is 'ld', 'as', 'gcc backend', and maybe a 'gcc middleend' then make the libraries. Also don't give all the credit to me elfprince is helping on this project like 50/50 with me.

Only 16 sprites 2 frames for each direction and then corresponding masks for those 8 frames which makes 16 in all. And believe me bullets will go faster. Thanks for all the support to guys it really makes you want to work
